Good episode, I really like where they are going with the adult characters. It's about time for them to have a storyline that overshadows the "kids."

And Sandy is still acting like a complete butt-ass.

I hate Julie.

Is Hayley ever coming back?

Good episode tonight. Although the Seth/Summer angst is starting to wear thin.

I remember hearing a while ago Kaylie was suppose to come back for this episode, or the one from last week. Guess not :-(

Julie still sucks.

Sandy's an idiot.

Why, oh why, must we suffer Marissa? Can we send her off to boarding school and have Lindsay take over for her? That would be GREAT.

Can't wait for next week's episode.

This episode was pretty tame/boring and felt like a show just treading water for now.

I have to say that the Marissa/Alex storyline is the only one worth watching. Can't wait until Julie finds out. Each week I wonder whether Seth can get more pathetic and sure enough, he does.

So I guess I'm not the only one not enjoying all of the current storylines. Only my love for Summer and Alex, keeps me watching this show every week.

That's a good point. Whatever happened to the weekly fights on this show? Hell, there was a party last night and there still weren't any punches thrown.

That being said, at least it was an entertaining filler episode. But they need to do something, anything soon. This season is starting to get really dull. And please God, get rid of Kim Delaney! She's like the Oliver of Season 2.

I was going to say Seth and Sandy are this year's Olivers. The writers have taken the 2 best characters and turned them into the 2 worst and most annoying characters.

The preview for next week makes it look like
Spoiler:
most of these storylines will reach their conclusion, or at least take them in a different direction.

Seth is getting a little too pathetic, and not just cool-whiny-hip-pathetic, but I-want-to-slap-you-pathetic. That's why I was glad to see he was moving on with another chick, but they took that away from him. I think they need to introduce another girl for him, let him and Summer get back together, or just let the poor guy move on.

As long as Marissa keeps wearing outfits like she had on last night, then I am totally fine if she stays on the show. I don't know where she was hiding those during the first season.

I agree with a lot of what people have said about this season. The first season, especially the earlier episodes, was really fast paced, and there would be conclusions to conflicts and problems in the same episode or the next. They've obviously decided to slow down the plot this season and seem to be building it up to next week's episode. It makes next week's episode exciting and anticipated, but I don't want to have to watch 5 set up episodes just to really enjoy one episode and finally get some of the answers and conclusions to the issues all the characters have. I think they should go back to more of the writing style of the first season. And I love Seth, I think he's a hilarious character, but they really do have to stop with the Summer stuff; it's just embarrasing and really pathetic. I hate Zack as well; I wish he'd just die or something. I don't know what they can do with the Seth and Summer stroyline to make it interesting though. Everyone is obviously annoyed with the angst and drama between them right now, and I hate Zack in the picture, but if they just simply got back together wouldn't that be kind of boring?

I agree

Have we had an episode yet where Lindsay and Ryan don't fight or break up. It's like they are trying new ways to write around the same thing each week. The past 5 weeks have been the same thing. Kirsten questions Sandy and his feelings toward Rebecca, Lindsay and Ryan fight, and Seth and Summer secretly can't get over the other.

This show hasn't made a "Dark Angel" like fall from Season 1 to 2, but it's pretty close.

I agree that S2 is not as good as S1. Seth is best when he is a supporting character, not a main character. Too much Seth lately, and more importantly, too much annoying Seth lately.

Plotlines aside, it just isn't as funny as S1.

That's true. Some of Seth lines have been funny this season, but last season he was definitely a lot funnier. It's mostly the reason I watch the show, and it hasn't been happening as frequently. I definitely miss the ridiculousness and lameness of the first season though. The lines were so great, especially in the pilot.

Marissa : "Who are you?"
Ryan: "Whoever you want me to be"

You just can't beat that.

Anyone have any idea, I know were only halfway through the season, but does anyone have a timetable as to when one might expect the DVD set of Season 2 to come out? Before Christmas?

what's going on with the kim delaney person? i fast fowarded all of her parts.

season 1 was in a class all by itself.....pretty hard to repeat that. I still think the OC will be back for Season 3(I think Josh Scwartz already confirmed that). Season 3 will determine whether the show will keep going or be cancelled
