Asian horror/ghost dvd suggestions?
Hello all,
Just saw The Eye and loved it. What other Asian horror/ghost dvd's should I check out? (Region 1 is preferred if available)
Thanks

Ju-on: The Grudge (original)
also I think A Tale of Two Sisters is coming out in Region 1 sometime soon.

The DVD is from Hong Kong, but is all-region NTSC and has nice picture quality and a fantastic DTS track. You should be able to find it for less than $15.

Audition. Becoming a Miike classic in its own rights. Just beware of the pacing .. some can't deal with it.
Nang Nak from Thailand. More of a ghost story than horror. .. but at times can get fairly eerie and unnerving. Great atmospheric surround sound if you have it. And this is just the VCD version.

Audition is a great, scary and disturbing movie, but it's not a ghost story. Just thought I'd clear that up.
The Grudge movies are really scary, and I also like a movie called Inner Senses. I think it's a Hong Kong flick, and it's an eerie ghost story with some drama mixed in the bag.

If you can handle older, slower paced (pre-MTV generation) films, then you might want to check out these Criterions:

I haven't seen A Tale of Two Sisters yet, but since it is mentioned with the ones above it has become a must see.

Other recommendations...
Inner Senses (Tai Seng) - Very well done movie/in DTS
The Phantom Lover (Tai Seng)
My Left Eye Sees Ghosts (Tai Seng) - comedy/horror
Tai Seng has many DVD releases, though I haven't been entirely impressed with the subtitles on a few of them. I would definitely check out Inner Senses, if you liked The Eye.
