Disney Treasures Wave 5 news (12.06.05)

Taken from ultimatedisney.com...

On our forum, 'dizfan' reports that Dave Smith, founder of the Walt Disney Archives and author of Disney A to Z, revealed last night at a Disneyland Q & A that this December's fifth wave of Walt Disney Treasures DVDs will include a volume titled Disney Heroes. 'MPeriolat' echoes the mention and indicates that this set will contain some of "Swamp Fox", Disney's late '50s mini-series which starred Leslie Nielsen as Revolutionary War figure Francis Marion.

This doesn't interest me at all. Hope the 'toon portion of the fifth wave at least contains a second volume of Donald Duck...

I believe December is the usual release date month for these.

After seeing the recent skimpy Chip N Dale set, I want a comprehensive Treasures set of them.

In looking at the cartoons that have yet to be released as part of the Treasures series, I would also hope for Donald #2 and Pluto #2, with Chip N'Dale being thrown in with other miscellaneous/random cartoons (Pete, Huey/Dewey/Louie, Butch, etc.).

I don't think there are enough Chip 'n Dale 'toons to warrant a full 2-disc Treasures release (but I could be wrong about that).

^^ They could always throw in a few rescue rangers episodes. Pilot and finale maybe?

I really doubt there would be more than one live action series per Wave.

Sure hope so, this has been rumored for quite a while (usually as just a release, not a Disney treasure) but I'd love to be able to through my crappy video out.

Scarecrow, Scarecrow, the soldiers of the King fear his name ...

- Disney Rarities
- Legendary Heroes
- Spin and Marty
- Chronological Donald Vol. 2

There was no additional info provided: No contents, no release date, and nothing regarding whether or not Donald #2 would complete the DD collection.

I'll potentially be buying all four!

I saw that post over at UD, and I am a bit skeptical about it.

Perhaps a likely destination for Donald in Mathmatic Land (although not exactly a rarity).

I know this is stretching it, but is there any chance the rarities set might include "Song of the South"?
