I was wondering if anyone has found a review for the final season of angel yet? Thanks!

Audio Video Revolution (http://www.avrev.com/dvd/revs/angelseason5.html) has one.
DVD Talk hasn't received a screener yet, as far as I know.

thanks... there are also a few links at www.buffy.nu This is a definite buy for me, i just wanted to see what the quality of the commentaries is. Its also cool to think that this is the first Buffy DVD that Region 2 didn't get before the US.

My copy was just mailed off today. I'll get a review up as soon as I can, but I'm not even going to have it in my hands for a few days yet.

Here's a great, comprehensive reivew of Angel, season 5:
As a commentary fan, this is a very solid group. Nothing earth-shattering but all are well-executed and for whatever reason, more of the series acting regulars participate than usual. This follows Buffyverse DVD form, as the final Buffy boxset includes several of the regs in commentary tracks. If the tracks are any indication, there were an awful lot of very likeable and sharp (kind of goes without saying) people associated with this show. Joss Whedon tracks are always good though I don't sense that he necessarily feels a need for them as much as he's a ridiculously talented guy who's involuntarily creative and entertaining.
As to the season itself, this is possibly one of the top 10 seasons of broadcast television ever. For any series. FWIW, I'm a huge, huge Buffy fan and put simply, it's better than anything Buffy ever produced. There's a depth and creative boldness here that wasn't quite there in past Angel seasons, as exceptional as they were. I'm thinking this is primarily due to Joss Whedon being around more to shepard things with the absence of Buffy drawing on his time. The series finale was the best ending I've ever seen for any series, bar none. Moving and epic.
