I read Matt Langdon's DVD review of Golden Balls at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=14465 and...
Is this an anamorphic image? What other trailers? Is this a film sourced print...or PAL to NTSC port..(given the fact that Ventura is known for their "subtle" treatment)...I mean there are tons of things that you could add to the review...please.

Yes, Golden Balls is 2.35:1 Anamorphic.
I'll double check the trailers and put them into the review.
I am unable to tell if it is a film source print - although I have understood that most DVD's don't transfer directly from the film print. But instead go though a Hi Def process before being downported into digital. At least that's what the main transfer technician for Criterion told me. The print on Golden Balls looks really good with no edge enhancement or artefact.

Thank you for the additional info . Excellent.
As to the transfer* what I meant is whether or not you could determine if this is a port of an existing PAL source (the UK print... obviously is not the case here). Regardless, Thank you for taking the time to supply the additional info.

*Your remark above is 100% correct. The easiest way, or shall I say most notable one, is to watch carefully if there is the so called "ghosting" which is often obvious during fast moving images. I am most certain you have good experience with it  and know hot to recognize it.
