FYI, the HD580's are $159.99, HD595's are $199.99 and the ultimate HD650's are $399.99 at jr.com. The 600's at $199 are a fantastic deal.

thanks for the link. don't think i'll be buying the 600's to replace my 580s. strangely, i bought the 580's for 180 and it came with a sound decoder (can't think of the exact name). i'm surprised it still costs that much considering i bought it 4+ years ago. i guess my only complaint is that the bass isn't as strong as i'd hoped for, but other than that, i absolutely love it.

Marke,
Thanks for the great link. I recently got the Sony V6 because I just could not justify the prices for the Senn 600 (generally about $280 new, and $200) used. Getting them brand new for less than $200 with free shipping and no tax - well I had to sleep on it overnight, but ordered them this AM.

I also bought a HD580 when it shipped with the DSP (Dolby Surround Pro-Logic) unit which I assume you are referring to, just to get the unit. Tried the 580's then sold them for just about what I paid for both and kept the DSP.
Now I'll get the HD600's and use them with this great little box.

These are sold refurbished for mid 200's so the $199 with no tax or shipping is a steal!

yeah, it was that DSP thing. i tried it out for a while, but didn't really like it. not even sure where it is right now. is it even worth enough to try to sell?

I would be surprised if they got more to sell at this price new!

Yes its worth selling if you do not want it but I know I like mine for times I watch dvd's and can't use my 7.1's. You can search Ebay for values.
(P.S. I sent you an email)

FYI, I visited JR.com and requested a price on the HD600's. (even though they are out of stock they will email their current price)
Their email now states $229.99. Still a decent price for new cans but I am glad mine are already halfway here according to UPS!

Many people use and prefer headroom amps, while others build their own:
