anime title help

there was a new release that came out a few weeks ago ( i think it was a series) and it had a sticker on that said something like "from the director of the animatrix, and cowboy bebop, and from the creators of Kill Bill vol 1"
anyone know what that title is and if its any good?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You should see what ADV is doing with Gantz. They're releasing the series uncut ("too graphic for Japanese TV!") but with only two episodes per disc, over 13 DVDs. Where's the smiley face for GOUGE THE CONSUMER?

Samurai Champloo f*$#ing rocks, and there are four episodes on the first DVD....but the special features are sadly nonexistant. I'm hoping future volumes will be better with the extras.

The importation factor has a lot to do with it. Samurai Champloo is still airing in Japan so Geneon is actually releasing the title fast compared to a lot of other titles. Be happy you're not paying $50 per DVD for 2 episodes a volume like I am. And Samurai Champloo is 26 episodes.

We do get off cheap here in the US. I was looking at R2 DVDs of a anime I've been DLing the fansubs of, and they run 5040 yen (about $47.50-$48) for each disc, with 2-3 episodes per disc.

Yeah Samurai Champloo is costing me $650 for the whole series. That's almost $2 for each minute. I laugh at these Best Buy ads for $5 DVD's.

there's only 26 episodes in the series; out of those only 20 have been aired so far.
