The Phantom of the Opera --> May 03!

I deleted the first one because of too many mistakes.

This is the official one:

http://videoeta.com/movie.html?via=form&id=63109

This is what I hope the DVD comes with:

Disc 1
2.35:1 Hi-Definition Anamorphic Widescreen
English/French Dolby Digital 5.1
DTS 5.1
5.1 Isolated Music Track
Audio Commentaries
- #1: Joel Schumacher and Andrew Lloyd Webber
- #2: Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson, and Minnie Driver
Cast/Director Highlights
DVD-ROM Features

Disc 2
HBO First Look – The Phantom of the Opera
E!’s Behind the Scenes: The Phantom of the Opera
The View – 12/24/04 Episode
Featurettes on the Art Direction, Costume Design, and Makeup of the Film
Original Broadway Production Footage
Deleted Scenes
Outtakes
Multi-Angle Views
Screen Tests
- Gerard Butler
- Emmy Rossum
- Patrick Wilson
Music Video: “Learn to Be Lonely” by Minnie Driver
Photo Galleries
- Official Stills
- Behind the Scenes
- Art/Costume Designs
- Phantom Mask/Face Designs
- National/International Poster Designs
Theatrical Teaser
Theatrical Trailer
TV Spots
Soundtrack Ad

And the case should be like those fancy slip cases they did for Amadeus or Citizen Kane.

I wonder how many "mistakes" there are in your detailed fantasy specs - and what purpose do they serve, unless you're simply trying to confuse people.

Unfortunately It's Warner so we probably won't have that DTS track on it.
Would be a nice enhancement to the music.

Well, the official cover art is out.

And I don't really like it. I wish that the WB would just go to town on the disc.

A must buy for me. I doubt we'll see DTS though. This is Warner we're talking about.

The covers okay except for the damn reviewers blurb.

And what's with this only being a single disk? If any movie deserves a 2-disk SE it's this one.

You are referring to some of their OLDER releases. Warner no longer supports DTS. It will not be on ANY upcoming release. I will say that the EX mixes of the Matrixes are incredible, regardless, so I think this one will be very good.

Will definitely get it. While I found the content to be lackluster, the movie itself is gorgeous to look at and the cinematography is top notch.

Good news for those disappointed about Phantom being a 1-disc.

Oh yeah More good news. It just keeps on coming in the DVD department. Will pick up the SE especially considering it's almost the same price as the one disc.

I'm excited about the two-disc, but you know it's going to be $15.99 for the 1 disc and $29.99 for the two disc. UGH.

The dvdanswers link shows a retail price of $27.95 for the 1-Disc and $29.95 for the 2-disc. As long as their information is correct, that's not much of a retail price difference. Should come out around the same with a discount.

Well, I just e-mailed the WB and asked if they considered adding a DTS track to the film. Hopefully, I'll get an answer back somethime this week.
