Early Hitchcock
Does anyone know of good quality prints of some of Hitchcock's early sound and silent thrillers. Particularly The Lodger, Blackmail, Murder, The Man Who Knew Too Much? I know there are a dozen or so permutations out there for low prices which assures me they are probably crappy looking. Are their any DVD's that are good of these?
Also any word on a Street Date for that MGM box set?

If you can play R2/PAL DVDs, there is a great German DVD of BLACKMAIL which has a nice print of the sound version, along with a newly restored print of the alternate silent version. You can order it from Amazon.de

In general, I found the Delta/Laserlight releases to be the best of the Hitchcock public domain titles.
The one label to avoid at all costs is Madacy.
