Deadwood season 2 Info
I've been doing some searching on Info on Deadwood Season 2
Here's what I found so far
-Season 2 takes place 6 months after Season 1 ends,spring of 1877
-One major cast member is not returning
-Robin Weigert will be back as Calamity Jane
-Actor/comedian Franklyn Ajaye will play a new recurring black character
-Alice Krige (Star Trek: First Contact, as the Borg Queen) joins the cast as
*** Woot !
-Sean Bridgers (Johnny Burns) and Titus Welliver (Silas Adams) will be regulars in season 2
-Cade Carradine, 22, the son of Keith Carradine (who played Wild Bill Hickok in season 1), will play a miner
-Anna Gunn (Martha Bullock) and Josh Eriksson (William Bullock) play Seth's Wife & son -Eveyone must have expected to see them this season I'm sure
-Garret Dillahunt who played Jack McCall in season 1 re-joins the cast as
-There also seems to be lots of talk about Season 3 (building new sets when season 2 finishes shooting etc)-So thats great news

I think Timothy Olyphant does a great job in this show. He may not have the acting ability to successfully pull off other characters, but he is perfect for Seth Bullock. McShane is the highlight of the show though.

No complaints here about Olyphant. I think he might be one of the best quiet-but-menacing western heroes since Eastwood. If he isn't a great actor I'd never know it from his performance as Bullock.
I thought he was especially noteworthy in Go as well.
I saw him in the crappy gay tragi-comedy Broken Hearts Club too, but that was before I knew who he was. He didn't make enough of an impact in the lead role for me to remember him. I suppose I'll rewatch it again someday just for him, even though I hated it. The things we put ourselves through for fandom.

Oh, and Olyphant as an actor is miles beyond Keanu... c'mon, it's not even comparable.

This isn't really related to season 2 ,but its an interesting read if your interested in such things.
It is the thoughts, experiences of a girl who was hired as an extra (Gem Girl) in season 1 of Deadwood.
You can read it HERE

Man, have you guys seen the new trailers on HBO? I dont know what happens but it looks like EVERYONE gets the shit beaten out of them as everyone is bloody and bruised in the promos (even Swearengen!) It also looks like Sol is on his Death Bed.
Anyone know if Jeffery Jones is still coming out? Despite his awful personal life, I always thought he was a great actor.

It's pretty cool to watch the teaser trailer and then the full trailer and seeing how much of the full trailer was done via blue screen.
Anyone else notice Ian McShane's long hair?
