Any plans on USA release of brit show "Leage of Gentlemen"?

I know season 1 is available here in Region 1 but what about season 2 and 3? The UK has these out on DVD but will they ever come across the ocean for the rest of us?

Given the length of time since the first series was released, I highly doubt it. In any event, region free players are so cheap these days, it's easy to get the rest of the series from the UK. Amazon UK has the rest of the series, X-Mas special and Live DVD included, for under £10 each. And if you like the first series of LoG, it only gets better the rest of the way.

I have been writing BBCAmericaShop every few months asking about this and only ever got the "no release planned at this time" response.....

BUT

look here: http://www.bbcamericashop.com/default.asp?cpa=upcoming

League of Gentlemen: The Collection (DVD)
Take a look into the extremely unique and surreal local world of Royston Vasey. This complete collection includes every grotesquely funny episode of this dark comedy series. Featuring the strongest collection of characters you will ever see.

I don't know what is more puzzling, how people who enjoy brilliant shows like this don't have Region free players (when a good one can be had for around $75) or that most people never heard of brilliant shows like this yet watch all the crap that is on US TV.

I've got each season + the X-mas special on DVD from Amazon.uk for faily cheap & they are the way too go. The commentaries are just as funny as the show.

Can't wait for the movie.

I agree. There seems to be some kind of "Oh, that must be complicated" stigma around this. I have no idea why. You can buy region free players at Best Buy (and I've gotten them for under $40) and order discs from Amazon UK just as easily as ordering from Amazon US. The resistance is puzzling.

TwitchFilm recently interviewed Mark Gatiss, and it was hinted that sales of the first series weren't enough to merit the rest being released here. I remember a time when it seemed that every BBC America video and DVD I watched began with the LOG trailer, so it's hard to say BBCA didn't promote it enough.

As for me, my series 2 & 3 DVDs arrived from Amazon.co.uk late last week, completing my set. I couldn't be happier with them.

This is one of my all-time favorite television shows (from any country), and I've just about worn out my DVDs of all 3 seasons.

Now, when are we going to see The Harry Hill Show on DVD!?! I'm dyin' here!

I've been thinking about picking up this show when I travel to England in May, but I was wondering if it has a laugh track? I hate those so much, especially for shows where it's obvious there is no studio audience.

Series 1 & 2 have a laugh track. The Christmas special and series 3 do not.

So I'm guessing the 6 DVD set is the previously released S1 disc + 2 S2 + 2 S3 and the Christmas Special?

The episode list at TVTome has me confused.

Oh well, great news! I'm glad I held off on buying the original release!

I think it will just be the three seasons (2 discs per season).

BBC America Shop says this: "League of Gentlemen: The Collection (DVD)

Season 1 is just a single DVD and the Christmas special is also a single DVD.

Season 1 = 1 disc
Season 2 = 2 disc
Season 3 = 2 disc
X-mas Sp. = 1 disc

Collection = 6 disc

Atleast that's the way I see it

"Live at Drury Lane" is not a BBC release. I would imagine that whoever has potential US rights will see how the season discs sells over here...

Here's an angled look at the box set. The site also confirms that it includes all the series plus the special.

So I keep reading posts by people that can't seem to wait for this entire series to be out, but what is it? If I like The Office or Monty Python will I like this? Where can I find some good reviews, and is this just worth a blind buy?

reviews? I have no idea.
If you like sick and depraved British humor, then this show is a must buy. I think it's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. There are ads for it on a lot of other WB/BBC dvds from R1. If you have any others....look for all the trailers on them, you might have an ad for League of Gentlemen.

I bought series 1 blindly based on the ads on other dvds, and I never regretted it, except waiting for other dvds to come out......I just recently got a region free player and was about to get the other series from the UK, when I came across the announcement that they were being released here finally, so I am just waiting a few more weeks for those.

At times this show defies description. Well, except for funny.
