Here's how I got it to work...

I placed one of the SKUs listed in my cart. I then placed original Ocean's 11 DVD in cart and removed the SKU for the Ipod. The discount remained.

I got it for $6.86 + s/h

umm, it is only meant to be used on the items listed (saw 1 was a video capture card and the other is a ipod, didn't feel like looking up the rest). that being said, i couldn't get it to work with incredibles till i did the following....

1. added Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and Incredibles to the cart.
2. Went through the link listed to get the $10 off.
3. Removed Harold and Kumar from my cart.

I'm hoping that this is one of those times when Buy.com's order/item cancellation system bites them in the ass. I've placed orders in the past where I ended up canceling the entire order. Buy.com then claims that they will try to cancel the order, but it may have already been sent to the warehouse…yadda, yadda, yadda…and five days later I get a shipping notice from them. If it takes the buyer more than five days to really cancel an order with them, maybe it will take them just as long and our orders will go through.

I expect nothing from this, but I will be checking on this order periodically the rest of this week.

This happened to me, except I was cancelling an order that I used a coupon with. Instead they cancelled the coupon and shipped the item. They then billied me the price without the coupon, even though my item total still showed the discount. I called, no luck. Sent an e-mail, took a few days and got my credit back. Perhaps you should try disputing the charge with your CC company.

Why are you "flabbergasted"? They were no less "open and honest" than you were by trying to scam them. And don't give me the old innocent "we were only trying to use a legitimate coupon" bit. I've been here long enough to know that's a bunch of BS. Everyone posting to this thread knew what the deal was with this coupon and were just trying to abuse it by using a loophole Buy didn't close. Putting stuff in your basket and taking it out to try to get the coupon to work?? Then complaining when they cancel the order?? Give me a break.

I don't have a problem with people trying to use the coupon for other stuff. What I do have a problem with is people who criticise the e-tailer for canceling the orders. Now the part about shipping orders at a higher price?That's a different story. Not cool.

My order shipped, but Buy is trying to dick me. The total for my order should be $15.37. I just checked my CC and found one hold for the correct $15.37 and another hold for $25.37. The order status page states that the coupon was cancelled and that the order was partially shipped. I am going to wait until an actual charge goes through, but I just know that they are going to hit me up for the entire $25.37. They never e-mailed me to obtain my consent for the full charge. If they didn't want to honor the price, then they should have cancelled it like they did with everyone else. I'll give them a chance to rectify the situation and if they don't, then my CC company will be hearing from me. So, if your order didn't get cancelled, check your CC to see if you were correctly billed.
