Picked up Cheers Season 4 and Taxi Season 2 today. On both of these they had a sticker saying that you can receive $15 by mail by doing the following:

1) Purchase one (1) of the following:
Cheers - Season 4
Frasier - Season 4
Taxi - Season 2

2) Purchase one other season set (any season) of Cheers, Frasier, and Taxi.

Must be purchased from 2/1 and 4/30. Must be postmarked by 5/31.

Thank you kindly for the info.

I pre-ordered S2 on Amazon so does that count as being purchased on 2/1 or the date I placed the order?

Does anyone know where the proof of purchase is located for the Taxi season 2 set? I had no problems finding it on Cheers but Taxi uses different type of packaging.

It should count as 2/1 but I have in the past had some problems with online purchases that were pre-ordered before the rebate date took effect. Also the packing slips from Amazon don't help matters since they have the order date and not the shipping date included. I had a few rebates denied because of this, but they usually honor them after you contact them and explain the situation.

I also had trouble finding it. It is on the small flap on the inside of the box that holds the discs.

My season 4 sets still haven't shipped from Amazon so maybe I'll have some luck. I'll send in the rebate with a note explaining when my card was charged and when the items shipped. I wouldn't bother if the rebate wasn't so big.

The Season # box flap that looks like a Taxi Cab attached to the box?

I'm confused about where to find the proof of purchase too. I'm looking on my TAXI SEASON 1 box and all I see is the big flap at the back of the box that says Taxi and the numeral one. Is that what I'm supposed to send in?

The flap on the Taxi box should actually indicate the season and have the words "Proof of Purchase 06981" stamped on it.

You have to practically disassemble the outer cardboard packaging to find it! It's a teeny-tiny tab on the side of the box.

I purchased Taxi Season 2 and Frasier Season 2. I found the Taxi proof of purchase, but I could not find a Frasier Season 2 proof of purchase anywhere. I expected it to be in the same place as the Taxi PoP.

Anybody have any clue as to what might be the acceptable proof of purchase for Frasier Season 2? I hate to cut the UPC symbol off the box, especially if that isn't what is required to be sent in.

Sorry! Never mind, I just found it. I must have torn the box apart 3 different times looking for the proof of purchase, since the rebate form stated it was on the DVD case.

When I opened the actual DVD's, I then found the perforated proof of purchase between discs 2 and 3.

I almost forgot about it but finally received my $15 rebate check today for Cheers and Taxi. The rebate form estimated it would take 4-6 weeks to get it, but in my case it was 90 days. Just thought I would bump this thread as a reminder for those still waiting for the rebates.

Thanks for the bump. I thought about this over the weekend and was going to try to figure out who to call about it this week. Hopefully, I will receive mine shortly and not have to contact anyone.

I didn't see any phone number on the rebate form, so I have no idea who you would call. Here is the return address from the envelope I received, and a few links I found through google that may help if you need to contact them.

Did anyone that got the rebate preorder? I preordered both of mine from Amazon in January but had completely forgotten about the rebate. Im wondering if its even worth the time since both order forms have dates in January. Anyone?

I also pre-ordered from Amazon and received the rebate. I sent along with the Amazon packing slip as a precaution a printout from the web site that had the shipping date and tracking number included. The packing slip only has the order date.

I just picked up Cheers: Season 5 and they're doing another rebate... this time with The Andy Griffith Show, Season 2. Buy either of those two sets, plus any other Andy Griffith, Cheers, Frasier, or Taxi season set and get a $15 mail-in rebate. Purchase period is May 17-Jul 31, 2005. (FYI: both sets don't need to be on the same sales receipt.)

Thanks for the information on the new rebate offer. I'm planning on getting the latest seasons of Cheers and the Andy Griffith Show during the next DDD sale. Hopefully that will happen before the July 31 purchase deadline.

Also there is some sad news regarding the Andy Griffith Show with the recent death of Howard Morris (Ernest T Bass) over the weekend. Unfortunately Paramount has decided not to include any interviews or commentaries with any of the surviving cast members.

Sorry to hear about Howard Morris. :( Not many members of the cast/crew are left.

I went by Costco today and they didn't have any of the Andy Griffith Show out. I also didn't see any Cheers, Frasier or Taxi.

Amazon frequently posts the rebate forms online but they don't have the current one available yet. I would suggest checking their web site periodically.

I just received both seasons of Andy from DDD. However, the second season did not have the rebate sticker on the front. I'm hesitant about opening it in case the forms not in there. I could just buy another copy locally then return it, but if there is a site with the form online somewhere, please let me know. I used yahoo and went to amazon, but I could not find it.

im in the same boat, i also have a non-stickered Griffith season 2 and im unsure about opening it. the problem with swapping one from a store is that i dont think DDD (where i bought mine) demagnetizes the security device, therefore if you take it into a B&M store, the alarm will go off. i searched for the rebate form online but didnt find any.

just so you know notes are not even looked at, the data entry operator just enters in the information, has no control over the rebate itself what so ever. the only time notes are even looked at by the data entry person is because they are suppose to look to see if the person said anything about sending in the rebate again then it would be resorted to a "resubmit division".
