When are we going to see a new episode of Lost?

Since they aired Episode 9 last week, and they're airing 10 this week, does that mean that it'll be March 9th before we see a new episode?
I sure hope not!!!

Yep - to coincide with sweeps.

I also wouldn't expect a lot of new episodes for March/early April so they can hold back the last 4 or so episodes for May sweeps.

I think he's referring to the fact that, since mid-December there's been just as many reruns as new episodes. Just a thought...

I don't understand this. Sure, I get that you want to have your new episodes during sweeps. But, sticking a new episode in between weeks of repeats just seems like a way to lose your audience.

Don't forget that Dubya is taking over the airwaves tommorow. Probably the main cause for no Lost.

(Kerry would've scheduled around Lost *grumble*)

But LOST is not doing that. The first 9 weeks it was on was all-new episodes. Then they took a week off for Thanksgiving, followed by 2 more weeks of new episodes. Then they took 3 weeks off during the Holidays. Then they aired 3 new episodes in a row. Tomorrow will be the 2nd week of reruns after that before they return with 4 new episodes in a row.

They have never only aired 1 new episode in between 2 reruns.

would you prefer the WB approach of no new shows in the month of December and most of January?

There's a better option still, being used by Lost's counter-part Alias. Sure those 7-8 months with a complete lack of any new episodes wasn't much fun, but the wait paid off. Week after week of Alias and 24 is great, not to mention we'd end up getting three times the amount of shows if the networks avoid repeats and go for a continous schedule.

Oh wait, didn't Fox just try that and it failed horribly? Another thing I can blame on reality tv. A great idea that'll be viewed as a complete failure because their shift to a non September-May season coincided with the death of the reality craze. Hopefully they stick with it long enough and include quality scripted programming to prove it will draw in audiences. Simply absurd to think that the average household only wants to sit down and watch TV for 22 out of 52 weeks.

The WB's schedule simply isn't an option for any network. I've since quit watching Everwood since I had no idea what the hell was going on during the first episode back after not getting any new episodes for two and a half months and realizing I really didn't care.

Spoiler:
I remember in some articles where JJ Abrams say Claire is still pregnant after season 1

edited: OK, here is the article and it was Damon Lindelof, not JJ Abrams:
http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire2005/i...ory=0&id=30246

Spoiler:
"Every mystery that we present on the show—What is the monster? Where does Ethan come from? Why hasn't Claire had her baby yet?—all those are questions that we know the answers to," Lindelof told reporters at the network's winter press tour in Universal City, Calif.
