Yes, but Edward James Olmos always looks that way.

I remember I worked for the United States Postal Service for a small time period in 2002 and he was the star of the orientation video. While it was just more of a do and don't list, he was quite intimidating with his growling voice.

Dang!!! A friggin two parter!

This was a good ep., and I liked the fact that they were able to go without showing #6 cooing Baltar for once.

Katee Sachoff is a pretty good actress considering what kind of show she's on, but I guess I'm partial because she looks almost identical to a girl I was friends with in college.

Hey, I like #6, but I guess everybody needs a break from watching her now and then.

Interesting conversation between the prez and the doctor.

Starbuck was great here, and I can't wait to see what happens next week.

Nice to see the Galactica 1980 making an appearance in this show.

Overall great show. Started a bit slower, but the fact that it is a 2 parter kinda excuses it.

The ending was obviously a homage to Galactia 80 "Return of Starbuck" - an Enemy Mine type episode where Starbuck and a Cylon crash land on a planet. The Cylon Raiders in this series are supposedly drones with no crew - thats probably the case but maybe they will surpise us.

I didn't mean that the Galactica from G80 made an appearance, just a homage to the episode.

Here is a synopsis of that show - the only one worth anything from that abortion of show:

While Galactica 1980 was a piece of shit for the most part, this new version does take some elements key to its plot from that short run. Namely the idea of humanoid Cylons, which were created in the ep. "The Night the Cylons Landed". Of course next week looks like a knod to the best (well, only decent ep. as well!) from 1980. I doubt they will do much in terms of re-making it, but if they somehow have Starbuch become pregnant by immaculate conception and bring about a new version of Doctor Zee, I will quit watching this show. (Read the "Return of Starbuck" synopsis to see what I mean.)

I found this recap to be the best on the web:

I have seen many of the BG80 shows, but I have not seen this one. Bummer, it was the best of them all.

I caught the mini-series for the first time just before the first episode aired and wasn't sure I'd keep watching but I kept recording the show. The last couple episodes have really got me hooked.

I did not care for all of the flashbacks, but really liked this episode. How long can they keep this cast and writing up to task?

I thought I never saw BSG80, but I remember this episode. Maybe I have wiped all the bad of BSG80 out of my mind. Was this the series they made it to Earth? I recall seeing some of the warriors talking to some kids playing baseball on Earth.

I made the mistake of taping (Replay TV) all 10 episodes of Galatica 1980 from the Sci-Fi channel the day before the new series began. I have not seen them since 1980 when I was eleven years old. My god they were awful. I had to keep watching them to see how bad it can get and yes one episode had the kids from the fleet on earth playing baseball. Another episode had the kids jumping through the fields planting seeds for food for the fleet. The horror…….

The next episode is entitled "You Can't Go Home Again," which is kind of a sly way of the producers admiting they ripped-off the last episode of Galactica: 1980 (which was the ONLY worthwhile episode in the series, BTW).

Let's hope this is the only episode of BG80 that they do rip off...
