I just sold some DVDs on ebay, but I have about a dozen that I know won't bring in more than a buck or two, so it's not worth the trouble.
So what's the best deal going right now if I sell/trade at an actual store? Blockbuster? Gamestop? Somewhere else?

I think Blockbuster is $5 right now and Gamestop has the trade in x for a new dvd?
What I really need to know is where to sell my VHS. I have about 800 left.

Good luck! Actually, there are many, many VHS titles still getting action on eBay, but (in a strange turn-around) the more popular the title, the less chance you have of selling it, because there are so many copies out there. I've sold several in the $10-20 range within the past few months (one actually sold for $31.89 !), but you need to spend some time browsing eBay to determine what might still get some decent response.

Thanks for the info. Just never been big on selling on ebay. It seemed just like too much a pain to sell each title by itself. I have been thinking about just selling the whole lot at once. Was just hoping there was somewhere else aside from ebay. (already sold around 300 to coworkers)

Already tried M2S a couple times and got shot down (BTW: they had some lousy used dvd prices when I was there, might be worth selling dvds there though). They weren't buying anything at that time and when they were, they were only buying Westerns. My sister was supposed to try SecondSpin but I don't remember what happened with them. Will look into them again. Thanks for the info.

As mentioned above, if you want cash/store credit, Blockbuster is $5ea minimum trade right now.
For trade deals, Gamestop currently is doing Shark Tale, Ladder 49 and the new SpongeBob movie, trade-3-get-it-free. EB and EB games had Resident Evil Apocolypse and Fifth Element UE trade-3-get-it-free. The Gamestop deal changes as new releases come out.

duganrm,
Based on a few recent DVD trade-ins, it seems that M2S is best for inexpensive DVDs and SecondSpin is better for higher value ones. For example, inexpensive DVDs that you buy for $5.xx new might get you $1-2 at SS whereas M2S is more likely to pay out $3 each. For DVDs where SecondSpin's online quote is $7 or higher, M2S seems to pay less on those.
