I saw this on a copy of Fargo at Best Buy. I don't know what other titles it includes, but I'm assuming anything that has won an Oscar. You get a free movie ticket by mail (up to $10.50 value) for buying two MGM Award Winners by April 5, 2005. The movie ticket expires 6/30/05.

It would be nice to see the list of "Award Winners" that qualify for this promotion, but I guess Fargo SE is the only one anyone has seen. I'm not holding out much hope that there will be any other titles in the promotion that I'd want to buy.
What's interesting is that I bought Fargo SE with a $5.99 pricematch at Walmart last week. I opened the brand new DVD up and it had several parallel scratches on the surface. The same scratches were on my Princess Bride SE bought on the same day.
I went to Walmart today and of course they were out of Princess Bride SE (and I was told probably permanently because it's an old title and I know Walmart hates keeping old inventory), but they had some Fargo SEs with the movie ticket sticker. So I did an exchange and got an Exchange receipt showing January 29th. The promotion says it starts at January 25th and my original purchase was a couple days earlier.
Assuming I ever find a second title to buy for this promotion, does anyone know if an exchange with the proper date would count or would MGM reject it because it's an exchange of the same item instead of a sale?
Also strange about the Fargo SE is that at another nearby store I saw the Fargo SE edition with a Rain Man like slipcase, but without the movie ticket promotion. Is the Fargo slipcase just a bonus MGM decided to send to certain stores? I assume the DVD inside is the same in both.

The slipcase release of the SE was the only for the initial run. After a while they got rid of the slipcase but the DVD has the same content.

A lot of companies will initially release a slipcase with their DVDs (MGM has done this with most of their SEs), but will eventually drop it with later print runs.
I'm still looking for a Bull Durham & a Usual Suspects slipcase.

is it a sticker on the outside?
Or is it a coupon inside?
Has anyone seen these in TX? Houston? Dallas?
.pdf?
Thanks

There was a sticker on the outside. I'm sure more of these will be popping up soon. I guess Fargo is still the only one spotted right now...

Has anyone who has sent this in received the movie ticket? If yes, how long did it take from when you mailed it and does the ticket list if it's good at AMC and/or Harkins Theatres?

Those links show the eligible titles and the form, but I'd still like to know if anyone has received the ticket from MGM, how long it took from when you mailed the form, and if AMC and/or Harkins Theatres are eligible. Maybe nobody knows because nobody has received the ticket yet. When someone gets it, please post about it. Thanks.

Anybody seen any recent deals for any of these movies? I procrastinated and didn't buy any yet, but it's probably a deal I don't want to miss if I can get some of these at decent prices (I don't own most of these yet, amazingly)...

:D those are very cool slipcases
DAMN if the fargo case is gone. it's pretty unique, not like a regular fox slipcase
