You can only use the fiber optic one? Becuase if so than you are right hard to find. Any way you can use the coaxial one? Same thing.

Thanks. I just discovered many of the jvc's have optical out. I need the optical out because of limitations of my receiver - only one of each coaxial and optical inputs, with my cable box taking up the coaxial.

The Onkyo DVD player I have -- can't remember the model number -- has an optical out, and it cost $100 when I bought it about a year ago or so. So maybe check out the Onkyos?
