What happened to the format of The Best Damn Sports Show?

I did a search (in TV and Sports) and couldn't pull up anything.

Does anyone know why they changed the format to look like every late night talk show on air? Tom Arnold doing a monologue then sitting at a desk with his co-host John Salley?

I'm not the hugest sports fan, but I enjoyed the not-so-serious banter with all the guys. What the heck happened? Am I the only one?

I wasn't even aware they made that change. I used to really like TBDSS in its original line-up with Kruk, Arnold, Rose, and the football player (forgot his name). Some of the hosts they've used since then haven't been as colorful.

That's permanent?!?!?

I watch it only occasionally, so when I saw the desk I figured it was just some gimmick or theme for the week........

I don't like the new format especially since it seems like Jalen Rose is their special guest almost every episode. He's turning into the sports version of Dr Joyce Brothers.

I don't watch the show regularly, however i did notice a commercial that only mentioned Arnold and Salley. I enjoyed watching the previous format whenever it was on. What happened to Chris Rose? I actually enjoyed him the most.

Me too. I even tried to search the Fox Sports website, nothing. I wonder if anyone in the Sports Forum would know?

I also heard that in order to be part of the fox superbowl pre game coverage, they have to change their name to the best darn sports show. I'm so sick of this nonsense!

During NY Islander coverage over the last few years, announcer Howie Rose use to promote the show as 'The Best Sports Show, Period!'. Always appreciated him doing that, since I enjoyed watching the games with my kids.
