Have not seen any postings lately?Have managed to pick up some good deals when a Wherehouse or similiar type of store is going out of business.
Maybe even an online store...

some FYE & other TWEC stores are closing down so you may want to check for those. Although, even with those closings, the deals still suck (20% off of MSRP, but you can also get 20% off of their used stock).

As a side, you need to post your location so ppl in your region may be able to help you.

Exactly. I had a couple FYEs close near me last year. Staked out what I wanted. Went in when they were 40% off and even at that it is only a few bucks difference than what everyone else sells for.

Thanks...do have FYE stores here in California but do not know if any are closing down.

And regarding what appear to be measly savings...When some Wherehouse stores were closing. I spoke to the guy in charge of store and he said that they were not going to go below like 60% off(which was no big deal on most of the stuff which was overpriced) Then I dropped in few weeks later and everything was 90% off with some people buying hundreds of items-so you never know!

Why wouldn't they just transfer their stock to another fye or distribute nationally etc. I can't believe they would sell for 90% off, don't get me wrong that sounds awesome, just not very business savvy.

Currently the one in Brokfield Square, WI is closing. Last week most of their accessories were 66% off. DVDs and CDs were 20% off, and I overheard the guy at the counter tell another customer that they wouldn't go below 20% off because they would just transfer whatever was left. Whether or not that is true, he might have just been trying to get the guy to buy stuff now. At 20% off there weren't any deals.

That is what guy said...we will transfer stuff to another store...but did not happen.
One guy literally bought everything left new/sealed in the store when prices hit 90% off.

the FYE that closed in the village in NYC never went below 20% off so I think that's their new liquidation policy. the only real deals to be had are on used items.

I had an experience similar to IamLegend. I got 3 CDs at a Wherehouse store about 2 minutes before they closed for $0.25 each. The sad thing was I had to charge it because I had no cash.

 That is still 10% over SRP!

I checked back yesterday. The store was closed now and everything left was being boxed up.
