With Amazon.com now charging currency conversion fees and discontinuing 'share the love', I think I am ready to switch VISA cards.
Does anyone know of a site that lists a lot of different credit card companies, and the advantages of each one?
Also, can anyone recommend a Visa card that does not charge a currency conversion fee, and has some sort of decent rewards/cash back?

I actually already have an AMEX Blue card, but I need something for international orders (which most international stores won't take AMEX).

You may want to consider switching the Amazon Visa to a Bankone Visa with Flexible Rewards (you don't need to reapply - hitting your credit file - since both Visas are issued by Bankone). You essentially get the same 1 point to a dollar, and 2,500 points for a $25 GC. However, you get to choose which store the GC is for from a list of participating stores, or you can get a $25 check instead, or you can save up the points for other rewards like merchandise and travel, etc.

Unfortunately that card has the same currency conversion charge, which is a rediculous 3%.

I like the Citi Diamond Rewards card...right now they have a thing going where you get a $100 gift card when you make your first purchase. I don't recall ever having any CCC's.

Do you have a link for the $100 gift card? Their site only shows $50.

Darn. Could you possibly look at your complete terms of agreement to see if there is indeed no currency conversion charge? Their website says you only can recieve the complete terms once you recieve the card.

I called today to switch over, they could switch me but I would lose my 0% introductary rate. They told me I was better off applying for a Flexible rewards card and then cancelling the amazon one. Which equals another credit report hit. I think I will just stick with my amazon till the rate runs out.

you might want to check out the Nordstrom Visa card. I just got an insert that says they will charge 1% of foreign transaction amount as a fee effective April 1, 2005. There is not an annual fee and you get a $20 gift certificate to spend in Nordstrom's for every 2000 dollars you spend.

Thought I would give this a bump. That Citi Diamond Reward card is actually a Mastercard.

Ok, question. If the more credit cards you carry badly affects your credit report, what about if you cancel cards and then get new ones? Does it still ding you, or just if you are currently keeping tons of cards? I ask because since I've had Blue Cash, I never use my 1% cash back visa and am wanting to switch. I have a Mastercard I never use, it's just for backup incase something should go wrong with the Visa and I'm somewhere where I can't use American Express. I want to cancel my current Visa and get a new one with different rewards, would that knock my score down? Should I just get rid of the Mastercard and the Visa to make my credit report better? Does it even work that way?

well your credit score does not change over night, it takes a while, if you cancel a CC and apply for another, it goes against your report, too many inquires count against you, i have 4 cards, one for a balance transfer with 0% interest till may 2006 ( chase), an amex blue, a citibank and an amazon card. I think the citibank has the best rewards currently, they are the only card i think that offers Gift certificates to bestbuy and circuitcity.

Last I checked, anything from MBNA or Capital One don't have currency conversion fees aside from the mandatory 1% from Visa/MC. I have a Motley Fool Visa w/ 1% back on all purchases so I guess that flattens out the conversion fees. Some comparison sites to check out:

Currency Conversion fees (a bit outdated):
