Hi - I heard a rumor that more Seinfeld seasons may be released around easter in the US - has anyone heard something similar?

I hope they release multiple seasons on the same day when they do put more of them out.

It's possible that they released the season 1/2 set and the season 3 set at the same time because the first set was sort of weak.

Whether or not they stick true to it, in an earlier interview with either Larry David or one of the 4 cast members, I can't remember who, was quoted as saying subsequent sets would be released approximately every 6 months. Whether this means 1, 2, or 3 seasons, I have no clue, and whether or not they stick to it, well we'll just have to see if come mid-May, we have more Seinfeld.

I am really looking forward to the later seasons, with such classics as Soup Nazi, Kenny Rogers Roasters to name a few

We've received quite a lot of e-mails from our readers asking about Seinfeld. Fans want to know when more DVDs are coming, will Sony continue releasing two box sets at a time, will there be any more special bonus items like the Re-Gift Set had, etc? Well, let's take those questions in reverse order: we don't know one way or the other about more gift sets, or more bonus items like the deck of cards, script, salt/pepper sets, etc. As for quantity, it looks like the releases are dropping down to one box set at a time. As for when then next set of DVDs will arrive...

...Relax, everybody! Industry sources have revealed to us that Sony Pictures Home Ent. is currently preparing their announcement for Seinfeld - Vol 3: Season 4. You should see the details - complete with the street date, price, extras, and other details - no later than mid-March, we're told. Remember: that's the announce date, not the release date! But it's only about three weeks away to find out the details, Seinfeld fans, so hold tight and stay tuned.

Therefore, we'll be back soon to tell you all about the DVDs with such fabulous episodes such as "The Trip" (Jerry on The Tonight Show), "The Pitch" (pitching a televsion show 'about nothing' to NBC), "The Bubble Boy", "The Airport", "The Pick" (Elaine's infamous christmas card), "The Implant" (Teri Hatcher's guest appearance), "The Pilot" (the show- within-the-show's debut), and the hilarious, award-winning episode "The Contest". Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I saw Jerry live on stage here in Charlotte a week or so ago. Still does a great 80 minute show.

Anyway, he did say in the question session that the next dvd release should be coming along soon and they will be per season. He also noted that he made the shows funny, but has very little to do with dvd decisions.

I imagine they will go 2 seasons a year from here on out (meaning 3 more years before all 9 seasons are available) with a Summer/Holiday selling schedule. Maybe bring a gift set out at XMAS for that years 2 boxsets.

Every 6 months would be great.

I demolished the first 3 seasons in just 3 days.

Can't wait for Season 4!

While part of me is disappointed that they're going to be releasing them one season at a time now, my wallet is thankful. I can't wait!

I would love to have all these season as fast as they can put them out but due to the mass amount of TV shows I'm into I can live with 1 season every 6 months or so. I just hope I can get all the later season for as good a price as I got the first 3.

Further Details
Early details have emerged on the fourth season of Seinfeld which will arrive this May in a four-disc package. The set will include all 24 episodes of the fourth season, along with all-new special features created in partnership with Jerry Seinfeld himself. These extras will include audio commentaries, a featurette entitled The Breakthrough Season, some episode specific mini making-of documentaries, a Regis & Kathie Lee Parody, deleted scenes, bloopers, notes about nothing and NBC and Olympic Promos. I'm afraid we have no further details on this one at the moment, but we'll bring you the official artwork and the official disc announcement, just as soon as it arrives. Make sure you stay tuned for that.

I just saw this listed at dvdpricesearch with a May 17 release date and MSRP of $39.95 which was probably a mistake. The prices listed at dvdpricesearch are different then the ones listed on the websites. I wonder if they cought on they made a error and jacked up the prices. Did anyone get in on the lower MSRP or did dvdpricesearch just goofed?
