Top 100 DVD Census 2005

Hi, all.

Long (long) time occasional lurker here. I was just wondering whether or not there was going to be a DVD census again this year. It seems to have become something of a tradition since 2002 or so.

Jough?

Yeah I'm curious as when that's gonna happen. Usually jough or LBPound handles this census.

Simpson Purist, awesome. Glad to see you're still around.

I'm Cosmo Kramer from the NHC.

Sorry, work has kept me from the forums, but yes, I'll be handling the census again this year.

Expect a first post about it this week.

Cheers.

I'm only really "back" to work on specialised threads like this and the Fox Studio Classics thread (which I need to update considerably).

Work and life are just keeping me from buying as many DVDs that I'd like and also from talking about them as much as I'd like, but I still try to see everything major, and I actually have been catching more discs than ever before due to my Netflix subscription.

Probably will be awhile, but jough did a hell of a job last year compiling everything, which you can see in his signature.

The vote thread is still open until the end of the week, so no, the results aren't posted yet because the votes aren't in.

There haven't been that many entries this year so I don't know what the turnout will be. But it'll be interesting to see how the results come out.

I'm going to start tallying this weekend and then the results will be posted at some point the week of the Oscars (i.e. the last full week of February).

It's tradition that the Oscars are the last awards of the season.
