Looking for contemporary werewolf flicks I may have missed...

I recently watched all three Ginger Snaps movies back to back (I had only seen the first one), which got me into a werewolf groove. I would like any recommendations for average or above contemporary (say, the last 4-5 years)werewolf flicks. I have Dog Soldiers already (still really like that film) but I am looking for any movies in the same groove that I may have missed.

Don't think there have been very many during the past 4-5 years (if any). However, keep an eye out for Cursed (though it's had several delays already).

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I don't have high hopes for Cursed considering the turmoil surrounding it's making.

You could give Underworld a try, if you don't mind some vampires mixed in with your werewolves.

Tried it, it was ok. I haven't seen the extended version. Is it any better?

I suppose you could try An American Werewolf in Paris. Just...don't expect it to be anywhere as good as its predecessor.

There's also Van Helsing but...yeah, that's not really good either.

There's also The Howling, which spawned something like 6 sequels, last one being made in 1995. But, beware, I doubt those are any good either.

If you haven't seen WOLF, check it out - Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer, James Spader and a full moon.

Man, the only werewolf movie you need to conern yourself with is Teen Wolf with Micheal J Fox.

I forgot about one. You may want to check out Bad Moon with Michael Pare. It came out in 1996 as a theatrical release. IMO, it is average at best so it should meet your criteria.

I've seen all the classics and most of them prior to 2000. With the boom/boon of independent films that are actually quite good, I was wondering if there were any that slipped under the radar. Some of the best horror movies I have seen over the past 1-2 years have been independent and I was hoping there were some werewolf flicks to go along in that category. I guess I should have made myself more clear in my original post. I know of all the "major" releases over the years (including Van Helsing - blecchh, American Werewolf in Paris - eh, Wolf - great movie, etc.).

I own The Howling and have seen every sequel, no matter how bad they are. I was looking for newer stuff but thanks for the responses.
