Nicole Kidman is in everything!!!!

Man, everytime i surf the net to watch a trailer, theres a 50/50 chance shes in one of them! I think shes a great actress and all, but frankly im getting tired of her. I mean its cool she likes to work, but for some reason i cant help but get the feeling she goes around demanding to be in every freaking movie thats being made and has 4 star or oscar written all over it. I mean look at what shes been in the past 4-5 yrs and all the stuff shes got coming:

The Untitled Alexander the Great Project (2006) (in production)
Wedding Season (2006) (announced)
Eucalyptus (2006) (pre-production) .
American Darlings (2005) (pre-production)
Emma's War (2005) (pre-production)
Bewitched (2005) (post-production)
The Interpreter (2005) (post-production)
Birth (2004)
The Stepford Wives (2004)
Cold Mountain (2003)
The Human Stain (2003)
Dogville (2003)
The Hours (2002)
Panic Room (2002) (voice) (uncredited)
Birthday Girl (2001)
The Others (2001)
Moulin Rouge! (2001)

Jude Law, Samual L. Jackson, Ben Stiller and her should all do a film together...wait i think that'll be cool

I won't see any of that... except for the few things I've already seen.

She was an uncredited voice in Panic Room? Why?
Dogville was horrible.

Wasn't really interested in any of Jude Law's pictures of late either.

I think she was suppose to star in the movie but couldnt so Jodie Foster took over. I guess that was her cameo or whatever, dont know why she was uncredited, actually, i dont even know what scene she was feautred in

When Jodie Foster tried to call her husband about someone being in the house, Nicole was the girlfriend who answered the phone.

I figured that much - but why? What's the point? Just have some nobody do it if you're gonna be uncredited.

I'd pay to watch her read a phone book. So the more Kidman the better.

Yes, that is probably one of the reasons. Another I think is Baz Luhrman not being interested in the project anymore. I heard Ollie Stone beat out other directors to be the first with an Alexander movie and he basically fucked it up for any other director that wanted to make an Alexander story.

Nicole Kidman bad as an actress? She's probably the best actress out there right now but there are plenty of other actresses I'd pay money to see naked before her.

I love Nicole Kidman, I loved Dogville, more more more

"Cast Notes: Nicole Kidman has recently (1/26/01) had to drop out of the starring role of Meg due to her recurring knee injury (which also caused a delay in filming of The Others)." -yahoo movies

Care to explain how one goes about all these demands, and despite being so demanding, gets every accomodation?

Or at the very least, explain how something so absurd was even typed up in the first place.

Never bought porn? While the internet can provide relatively free access to enough porn to last a lifetime I somehow doubt that anyone hasn't paid money to see someone naked.

never once in my life have I ever paid for porn or phone sex or lapdances or hookers or anything. I actually don't even check out free internet porn anymore... not in many years - or any porn for that matter. I've paid admission to see movies in theaters that had nudity in them... american pie or euro trip or whatever. But I didn't pay for the nudity - in spite of what you may think. Maybe I've seen enough naked people in my life that I don't need to see anymore. A boob is a boob... fleshy mound of fat.

I paid to see Dead Calm and Kidman's pancake tits were on the bottom of my list of things that made me want to see that.

Does it matter? The director probably thought it was amusing, so asked her to do the voice. Nicole wasn't just a possible lead, she actually was the lead. She even shot for a week or so, but then broke her ankle or something, leading to the quick Foster replacement.

Nonetheless, I happen to like Nicole. She's in high demand...she probably gets offered a million movies a week, and she just happens to like working a lot. Fortunately, she seems to put herself in a lot of decent pictures. Some don't always turn out well, but she's been taking a lot of challenging and unique acting roles. She's a big star, she's a good actress, and she likes to work. So...she's in a lot of movies.

Nicole seems to be someone who has reached a point where she can be in the movies she wants to be. As an actor, that sort of thing is rare, and not easy to hold onto. Barring any personal situations (you know, get divocred plunge yourself into work type of thing, but we don't know those things) can you really blame her for really taking advantage of her position? She's putting herself in unique, challenging films, doing films and bringing attention to films that probably wouldn't have any without her. I applaud her for her choices, rather than just starring in a bevy of romcoms and serial killer thrillers, which seem to be the only places most other actresses can be a lead in.

And whther she's chasing after Oscar movies, well...maybe she just likes to put herself in movies that seem like they might be good. She is an actress, and quite frankly her film roles are MUCH better roles from an acting perspective than what most female actresses get to play. Considering films like Stepford Wives, Bewitched, The Others, Panic Room, she obviously is willing to take roles that won't be leading to awards. She's quite varied to be honest, and it's a very impressive resume.
