Best Buy not carrying Once Upon a Time in America?

I went to three different best buys in my area, in Wisconsin, and I talked to various different employees there and they all told me that they aren't carrying Once Upon a Time in America in stores anymore and that I would have to buy it online. It's not that big of a deal but are these employees just idiots or is best buy really not carrying this DVD anymore?

I couldn't find it either. I guess this was a couple weeks ago when it was listed in one of their sales, but no store had it that I saw.

I had a hard time finding it as well. I ended up getting it at a local Target. Was in the store doing some Christmas shopping. Saw it, bought it. My local blockbuster didn't have it ( not even on VHS ). Blockbuster online didn't have it to rent.

I had never seen the movie before and really wanted to see it. I didn't care for it that much. It was a good movie, just don't know if it has much rewatch factor. So if anybody in this thread wants my copy send me a message and maybe we can work out a trade or something.

best buy also does not have a musicals section anymore...but they now have a wal mart bargain bin....WTF....I asked someone where the musicals were...he said they don't have a musicals section and that they would be in with their genre....i said musicals is a genre....he said, not according to best buy...

Best buy is good for loss leaders outside of that i have no use for them

I've noticed a lot of musical stuff either over with the music CDs or piled in with Family.

I've heard it said -- and please understand, I have no direct knowledge of this, so I'm not confirming it or saying it's definitely true -- that WB did a quiet recall of 'Once Upon A Time in America' for some unspecified reason and will be quietly re-releasing them soon. I heard this about six months ago, and I've not seen a single one in stores ever since. However, I also don't know what's supposed to be wrong with it.

I personally like Best Buy's current scatterbrained handling of their musicals. You can find them just about anywhere, including with the music DVD's, or in the various sections, from action to family, to comedy, to drama. It makes it so much easier to find what you're looking for. Thanks, Best Buy!

i think that must be a dirty rumor about a recall...I see it in many stores still. I think someone would have gave wind to this....or at least detailed problems why it would need a recall.

I found what i was looking for in musicals...Just funny that they break up musicals to diffrent sections....

I'm not suprised...BB doesn't have the greatest selection....they have new stuff, baragain stuff, and a few titles on the fringe, but obscure and foreign films are hard to find....

Two more funny replies i have recieved in recent months from Blue shirts are.....Me "do you have a copy of the Akira Kurosawa Box set"...them "thats and anime right."...me "no he is the guy who directed seven samurail and Yojimbo"...them...."is it a new movie"

second story same situation as above but they asked me if i needed help, (though i usually pass) I asked for the new DR Strangelove disc....He had never even heard of it....Mind you, i don't expect ever Tom, DIck, and Harry off the street to have seen this movie....but never heard of it, and you work in the video department.........

anyhow, I'm sure there are some fine BB emplyees out there....I have never met one though....I just wish there was one person i could have a conversation with and they would know what i am talking about....these aren't hard titles....what a waste....

i think it's getting a price drop probably with a new upc code.
so it may be hard for bestbuy emp's to find it in thier system.

i honestly only got his help because he asked if i wanted it...its kind of an ass thing to do, but since they ask 15 times if you need any help i sometimes like to see if they know where there stuff is...i don't mean to be a supremist but it just blows my mind that you could work in a video department and not know certain titles....seems like they would be looking for people with a bit of knowledge.....

ego...man i feel like a bastard
