Any chance of an unrated Closer?
Personally for me, I can't wait to own this on DVD and thought it was great,m\ I'd give it a B. For me, it has the two sexiest actresses in Hollywood(why does eveyone think Julia is ugly,,,,she's hot 
). I pray that Newell will release an Unrated Director's Cut of the film. Please let it happen.

Beat me to it, Mr. Salty. I was just going to say the same thing.
And I don't imagine there will be a director's cut because apparently Nichols preferred to not show Portman nude, or at least completely nude. (I haven't seen the movie yet so I cannot definitively say what her state of dress is throughout the film. I'm just going by the article I read.)

Why would you need an unrated version dalvin? Can't you just turn around and see your girlfriend nude?
Matt, he most likely wanted to see a possible nude Natalie Portman. Which isn't going to happen. I hope you enjoyed the shots of the body double.

Well, since there is a body double--and it's quite obvious me thinks, there will certainly be an Unrated Version.

Well... Dalvin's misguided Portman obsession notwithstanding, there was more than just flesh cut from the film. The trailer's got a good few shots and some nice lines that don't appear in the film.
I understand that trailers always show stuff that doesn't end up in the final cut, but one can hope. I thought Closer was great, and wouldn't mind a longer cut - or even a filmed version of the play (I know, I know, it essentially was that already).

Natalie's boobs would be nice, but I doubt we'll see them. I was actually very happy and comfortable with the way the film played out as-is.

I did respond to the thread topic. I stated that it wont happen. Usually the "Unrated" tag is put on films as a gimmick to boost sales. Universal and the other studios do this to catch your attention to make it seem like their is something more edgy in the film. This film on the other hand is Oscar Calibur. They wont have to resort to a gimmick of unrated to capture your attention since it will get the Oscar attention anyways.
Also, your posting history is always held on your head. Topbunk felt the burn from his threads and so have many others. That is why you should think before your post on the internet. You have heard the story about the boy who cried wolf... Haven't you? Didn't learn anything from that? and if you think this is just recently, you haven't been reading many of your threads after you post them (which is true since you or "your brother" usually post a thread and then never respond to the comments.)
edit: and for the most part, you decide to switch to serious mode when you post a thread asking if a certain movie will be in unrated form because you want to see the lead females nude? Yeah... not the best moment to want to be serious.
