Ever play sports and bet on DVDs?
I have this one friend who always has lots of money but isn't the greatest athlete in the world. So yesterday before we are to begin our weekly tennis match he states, "Lets make it interesting. First one to 5 games wins a DVD." So I said,"sure". I end up winning 4 games to 1, and then goes and says, "double or nothing". After whic which he loses again and is absolutely livid. He then tells me, "Triple or nothing...I don't want to owe you anything." He then comes very close in the third one, but again, loses to mighty Dalvin. I am kind of torn on what to do. Sure I would have bought him his DVD if he had won, but I feel badly. He's not the smartest cat on the block, but he always pays when he loses so i have no doubt if I mention it he;ll go, "O.K. pick em out, I'll be at the front counter". Still I'm kind of torn, what would you do. Anyone ever bet on DVDs by playing sports?

No reason to call B.S. on this, Dalvin threads start off automaticlly with it being tagged on.
As for bets. I've placed bets for dvds many many times. Though if someone says triple or nothing I usually tell them to go to hell because it's not a fair bet. Double or nothing atleast allows them to get their money back. Triple or nothing lowers the chances of you even getting anything. Fuck that. have it restart after double or nothing.

By the way, to the guy who suggested i just replace my tins. First off, it was my dad's collection, NOT MINE,so he is replacing them right now.He makes $200,000 a YEAR, i MAKE.....WELLL... MVING RIGHT ALONG. It would be nice to get two tins out of him, try to tell him, "Hey, you only need to buy me two of these sold out tins, and we'll call it even buddy". Oddly enough I think he'd go for it, if I found it at Best Buy, but he's online....forget it.

You would have figured that with your Lotto winning buddy, you would have just asked to get it replaced by him with it being x-mas and all...

Well I'm not you so I can't tell you what to do, but if I was you-- well first of all we'd be playing Basketball-- I go with Bill's suggestion or I'd let em' off the hook and only take one DVD. That way I still win something, but I don't take advantage of it.

I think you should place bets on sports played on DVDs. You know, like placing a bet as to who will win the big game in Friday Night Lights or if you want to go old school, All the Right Moves. That way you can always win since you know the outcomes.

I was thinking more along the lines of sports on dvd like the 1980 US Olympic Hockey game. It's a fools bet if you plan on putting money on the U.S.
