Question on Clownhouse DVD

While searching through EBAY I noticed a huge pricedrop, I remeber these going close to $100 since it was recalled. Is there a Re-release on this DVD?

there was a re-release scheduled, which was cancelled again. i have a suspicion that MGM unloaded all of their remaining stock at that time. they are easily found at 15 bucks and under at many stores. be warned that the audio is slightly out of synch, and can be quite annoying.

Apparently MGM dumped all of their discs to independent wholesalers. At least thats what the ebay seller I bought mine from said.

From what I understand, MGM didn't want to deal with the protests and such that they felt were likely if they officially released the disc, so they cancelled the impending release. But they had already produced a lot of discs, so they got rid of them where they could. Some stores got 'em, most didn't (and wouldn't have anyway).

If you really want it, it's not that hard to find, and now's the time, 'cause they'll get more expensive over time, since a future release seems doubtful.

Especially considering that the MGM library is now owned by Sony. I think it's pretty safe to say that Clownhouse will never be released on DVD (again.) I'm glad I got a copy.
