Do they make DVD players that have an HDMI output yet?

My computer doesn't have one, is it worth upgrading the video card to get an HDMI output?

Help me out here, what's the HDMI good for

Yep, and then X-HDMI will be introduced next year, resulting in HDMI being obsolete. Then in 2006, Super X-HDMI will be announced. Then in 2007, Super Extra X-HDMI will be the thang.

I think I've seen some HDMI DVD players for around $200? I think the Toshiba 5970 and the Denon 1910 has HDMI.

Those are not HD DVD players. They are SD DVD players that up convert the signal to HD resolutions. I believe in the above post that HDMI won't be the last connection type we see.
