I received my set not even two weeks ago and I'm noticing around the sides a reddish haze. If I turn the brightness down to about 23, it disappears but that's obviously too dark to watch a movie properly. It's not my speakers becuase they're shielded and I even tried moving them but it stayed. I tried different DVD players and it's still there as well. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm noticing on other boards that people have had the same problem as well so on one hand, it makes me feel better that I'm not alone. On the other, I don't know if I should just return this. Anyone??

Seeing how it is within the return time, I would just do that. Why start off with a tv that is messed up. I work in Hometheater at best buy, and I know we had to pull all of the 51's and 57's because there was problems with them. All the messed up sets should of been fixed by now, but it seems that you got one of the bad ones. Return it, and try a new set out.

Wait a second...was there a recall on this Toshiba? Is that what you're saying?

What was the problem people were complaining about?

Unfortunately I got it from PC Richards and there is no return policy. They'll just "fix" it.

Not sure if they listed it as a recall or not, we were just told not to sell the ones that we had in stock, and in the warehouse.

The problems that we were told about from the customers were either a line through the screen, or colors on the edges that should not have been there (somthing like you discribed).

Sucks that you can not return it, guess you will have to get the set repaired.
