DVD Talk review of 'It's Alive: SE'
I read G. Noel Gross's DVD review of It's Alive: SE at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=12912 and...
Gross essentially nailed this movie, but he left out something important, I think. Like a lot of schlock, it manages to capture the era perfectly. Look at the police angle: these are storm troopers run amok, a Sixties (and early Seventies) cliche. So is the almost gratuitous abortion talk (designed to shock back then). The clothes are straight from the time capsule. And I wax nostalgic because in my dotage I recall being taken to this movie by my late Mom, who was horrified on a level different from me and my friends.
