So I just got the Return of the King Extended Edition DVD, and inside there's a slip of paper that advertises that if you go to their website, http://www.lotrdvdbox.com/ that you can order a free slipcover that will hold all 3 Extended Editions of the Lord of the Rings movies. Shipping and handling is $3, delivery time 8-10 weeks.

And just to clarify, it's just a free box to keep your 3 LOTR Extended Edition DVDs in. No DVDs included.

Universal Studios did the JP box though. It was $6 for the box and the 4th bonus disc.

I know when we ordered it said it was going to take a while, but has anyone received thiers yet? Or at least receive any sort of communication from the company (besides the initial invoice) that says its on the way?

I answered my own question :-)

I got home today from work, and there was a small box waiting for me. It was from a PO BOX in Grand Rapids, MN and says New Line Cinema on it. I opened it up, and to my surprise it was the box set box! It already comes "assembled" Its not like that jurassic park box, that was flattened that you had to "form" into a box yourself, this one is pretty sturdy!!! I dont know it this matters, but I am in NY and got mine, so KEEP and eye out people, you will be getting them VERY SOON!!!!

Has anyone received a shipping notification? I only have the confirmation number and checking my card...they haven't taken any money yet either. I guess they'll take the money when it ships...but it looks like mrmagoo didn't get any shipping email and he already got his box.

I placed my order just before midnight on the first day of ordering and my box just now arrived.
It's the same box that you see in stores shipped in a brown box. Just stuff your EE discs in it and you're ready to go.
The only thing that was packed with it was a form letter from New Line.
