Does this have English subs?, does anyone know if it will or not. I am a HUGE fan of the show, and would love to own this.. 5.1 sounds very sexy too. It looks so nice I want it badly, but I can't get if it does not have english subs I think it would be idiotic of bandai not to release subs for this amazing box set!

Not sure about the subtitles but Amazon Japan has it for around $321.00.

Looks terrific - but I wonder if they remastered the video? It strikes me the current discs (R1 at least) could be better...

You mean that?

I already have it (well had it, and lost that gold box when travelling, but it wasn't that amazing anyway)

It is. That "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie" disc sure as hell isn't the official U.S. release, either. Looks pretty dodgy IMO. The official U.S. boxed set looked like this.

Nah, the one I bought had the original dvds in it, i.e. the original single dvds, but it was in the champangne box.
