Anyone buy the new Freaks and Geeks script books?

I just received an e-mail a few days ago advertising the new Freaks and Geeks
script books. They're are being released as 2 seperate volumes and contain the
entire shooting script of the series.

Each one is around 600 pages and contains even the parts that were eventually cut. I know this may seem like I posted in the wrong forum, but I didn't know how many people would know about this as Book Talk is not an obvious place to go for information about Freaks and Geeks. Many of the people that would buy this have already spent the dough on the DVDs, so the books are, IMO, an additional supplement to compliment the DVDs.

It might be the wrong forum...but I'm glad you posted. Cheaper by a couple bucks at Overstock, but shiping is $2.50 per order. Sometimes shipping is free, depending on whether they have a promotion.

Yeah, I found out about this over the summer. I'm waiting for Borders to send me a 20% off coupon, then I'm going to pick up the first one.

This is cool, but since it's a book about a TV show, I would guess the DVD forum is the wrong place.

I bought the $120 limited edition DVD set so I doubt I get this. There is so much info included with the LE DVD set that I still haven't watched all of it.

You're better off getting them from Amazon. They are 32 percent off and when you add sales tax that's more like 40 percent off. When you order both you get free shipping.

$20 list=$13.57 each for $27.14 total.

Borders would be more like $16 each for $32 total plus about $2.50 tax=$34.50.

Take that extra $6.60 and apply it to Paul Feig's hilarious book "Kick Me: Adventures in Adolescence" which is $9.71 or if you have that get his next one, "Superstud: Or How I Became a 24-Year-Old Virgin", coming out in Jan.

BTW, I just got these and each episode has a nice intro plus there are more pix and other features besides the scripts which have scenes that didn't get filmed or were deleted.
