Since this is 'movie talk...'

This is a movie I need to see again, b/c I really didn't see what all the hype is/was about this movie when I watched it. Quirky and different, but not nearly as good as all the hype it receives. Same goes for Rushmore.

Now that I know that the motel is the Windmill Inn located at Highway 22 & I-35
Hillsboro, TX 76645, I'll be sure to stay there if I'm ever in the area.

I don't think it's too much to ask to stay on topic. A search would reveal all manner of threads debating the merits of both flicks. I just thought it was fun that folks actually tracked down the locations.

alrighty then. I also wish there were more movies that had locations that could be easily tracked down for a photo op. I just don't feel the need to visit any of the locals from the Bottle Rocket shoot.

I apologize for posting my opinion of the flick. It isn't like this is a hoppin thread anyhow. Should have generalized it, like "movie shooting locations" or something. Then you can post locations for Bottle Rocket, we could repost the info about the Overlook from the Shining and much more.

Movie "tours" are great, but sometimes hard to come by, I'm not going to be talking about Bottle Rockets, Noel, so don't beat me since it's still on the topic of tracking down locations of a film.

My ground following was for Collateral. If you have the time one night in L.A. You can pretty much follow all the stops of the film. I have some paper that shows you the exact stops. Makes for a good evening of driving.

I had fun finding intersections and spots from High Fidelity whilst in Chicago last month. Sadly, however, the Biograph is no more It's still there, but dark and closed down. At least The Music Box is still going strong.

See, now that's pretty cool.

I guess I just don't get out much. I have been to some of the locations used in local shot films.

I worked in the building where they filmed one of the office scenes in Philadelphia. Also several of the street locations and the "law" library scene.

Then there's Unbreakable - I've been to the football stadium, the church, the train station & more.

Rocky of course - Italian Market, Art Museum, Spectrum, etc.

Trading Places as well.

Never took any pictures though.

I have a funny story. I went to Chicago with my family about 6 years ago. We got lost and ended up driving through "Cabrini Green"(not sure if that is the real name) from Candyman. Needless to say, all the doors were locked and the windows were up. Nor did we slow down or stop for directions.
