DVI DVD to DVI (HDCP) TV??

Does anyone know if you lose quality by playing movies from a DVI (Non-HDCP) DVD player to a DVI (HDCP) Plasma?
Thanks.

I would't think so. I think all the HDCP does is not allow you to copy the digital video...

The HDCP is initiated at the source end, not the display end. If your TV is HDCP-compliant it will accept any DVI input, whether encrypted or not. However, if the DVD player is HDCP-compliant it will only function (through DVI) when connected to a likewise HDCP-compliant TV.

HDCP does not degrade image quality the way that old fashioned Macrovision did on VHS tapes.
