Hacked cheap dvd players with good picture quality?
Ive been reading about how to change many cheap dvd players to region free players using the remote control.
Has anybody done this?
How is the picture quality?
Any suggestions for a cheap dvd player, easily hacked, with good video quality?

I got a Phillips 642 based on this thread and I'm pretty happy about it. The thing plays all kinds of stuff (AVIs, DivX) and mine was macrovision free out of the box.

DVD Talk Ultimate Edition
I'm happy with my Toshiba 4900. Do a search in the International format for this player or the 3900 for lots of info on the easy one time hack and general comments.
