jimi hendrix live on dvd, what's the best one?
there seems to be so many. i want one that has decent pq (no stoner like images), and 5.1 audio.

They all seem to have big flaws. I wish someone would get on the ball and release a quality dvd release of a hendrix show.

The Hendrix part of the Criterion The Monterey Pop Festival is probably the best for both sound and picture (and a great show, not to mention that a lot of the other stuff on the disc is great).
The second best of the ones I've seen is the Blue Wild Angel: Jimi Hendrix Live at the Isle of Wight.

briefly reading over amazon, isle of wright has a bunch of technical problems with his amp (he is apparently seen changing the settings often), but its his best performance.

With that being said, the DVD is quite nice. The 5.1 mix by Eddie Kramer is outstanding.
