Dear lord. This song is flat out awful. It sounds just like Sweet Child O Mine, which is not surprising considering it's the same chord structure and features a prominent arpeggio.

If this pap is the best song of the year I'm giving up on music forever.

The OP asked the specific question of "Is It Just Me...".
Rivero was answering the thread specific question.

And btw, it's just you. The song is alright, but not the best of the year, IMO.

After buying it, a week after it came out, and giving the CD a couple of spins I marked that as one of my three favorites from the album.
After a few more spins, it became my favorite.
I haven't heard the album in a while, but usually after letting time go by between listenings, I find that my tastes change. So it'll be interesting to me to find out if that song still holds up as my fave.

"Fall to Pieces" was my introduction of sorts to Velvet Revolver.....a co-worker of mine wanted me to download it and put it on my iPOD so we can listen to it at work. I got the download and instantly fell in love with "Fall to Pieces".......frickin' awesome song!!!

Great song (surprising since I'm not all that keen on Slash as a musician), but not the best of the year. Modest Mouse, The Hives, hell, even Gwen Stefani released better this year. And the best--well, assuming we're talking only about radio releases, that's of course U2's "Vertigo"...
