So...do you think...on this Sunday's "Desperate Housewives"? [Theoretical Spoilers]

So, according to the preview and gossipy "entertainment" shows, someone on Wisteria Lane will be biting the big one this Sunday.

Based on recent events, logic would say it was Nicolette [Edie] Sheridan. However, I think it's all a red herring. As some in last week's thread surmised, that was kind of a quick "she had the same brand of paper so it must be her" conclusion that was reached.

I know it's a copout, but i'm thinking [hoping] that it's Mrs. Huber Especially since she's the one I wouldn't want to see slinking around in lingerie...

They should not get rid of any of the *hot* "leading" ladies....so Lynette, please.

As long as it's not Gabrielle who cares

I think ABC has borrowed a page from the NBC promo department and it will be a secondary character.

Definitely a secondary character. My guess is one of the school moms associated with Lynette. Either the one who first gave her the pills, or the Sharon Lawrence character. Not sure if either live on Wisteria though, so that too might be completely off the mark.

Well, just because the paper doesn't conclusively prove that Edie wrote the note doesn't mean that Mary Alice's husband still couldn't have ordered a hit on her.

That said, I don't think it'll be Edie. It's the "obvious" person, so it's most likely not going to be her. I'm also hoping that it's not Mrs. Huber, though, as she's good for comic relief here and there (the bit with the blender in the pilot, dumping the guy on Bree's lawn, etc), and she does still know about Susan burning Edie's house down, so there's still potential for more plot there.

Entertainment Tonight stated the method by which the character gets killed. According to them,

Spoiler:
the character will be strangled in a kitchen. (Don't remember if it was "a" kitchen or "her" kitchen.)

Is it definite that it's a woman?

Not definite, but since the show is overwhelmingly made up of women, chances are it is.

The preview said:

"One of these desperate housewives..." (I can't remember the exact words after that part, but it has to do with a character getting killed.

I think it was nicolette sheridian on one of those entertainment shows hinted that it wouldn't be one of the main characters. So, i predict it would be one of the secondary charaters.

From the secondary characters listed above, I can't see it being Julie, since it would push Susan's character into a totally different zone and I can't see it being Mama since the character is said to be
Spoiler:
strangled
, and she was run over last episode, so depending on the time passage, she might still be in hospital (if she survived....do we know yet?). I am thinking that it is the neighbor, and not Edie, although I would be fine if Edie bit the bullet.

She could be
Spoiler:
strangled
while in the hospital by someone who wants to keep her quiet.

I have no idea who it'll be, but I can't wait to find out. This show is SO addicting.

Is there only 13 episodes per season? In TV Guide, both Susan and Mike have been signed up for the 2nd 13 episode season. (I guess Susan survives!)

I hope that there are more than 13 episodes. I'm avoiding all trade mags and entertainment shows that may even hint at giving away which secondary character will bite the dust this week.

I doubt it will be Mama Solis as her discovery has to hang over Gabrielle's head for a couple of episodes for comic relief.

Going with secondary character as well.

Has there been any mention if the death is deliberate or not, i.e., accidental?

Spoiler:
Since they mentioned 'strangled', I can see them going the Isadora Duncan route. Be funny if it's Mrs. Huber and she gets something caught in the blender she took from Mary Alice's house in the Pilot.....

I am changing my mind and going with the chick that visited Mike.

BTW, I just rewatched the promo, and it said that one of the Desperate Hosewives would be gone forever, while showing the four main stars along with Edie.

Just spit-balling here, but.....

if someone is arrested for and potentially convicted of murder, you could say they 'would be gone forever'.
