Did anyone buy David Bowie's new concert dvd?
It's from the REALITY tour and it's pretty good. I bought it for a friend who's been into Bowie since the early 70's and she went nuts. No extras but it's reasonably priced.
DVD Features:
"Rebel Rebel"
"New Killer Star"
"Reality"
"Fame"
"Cactus"
"Sister Midnight"
"Afraid"
"All The Young Dudes"
"Be My Wife"
"The Loneliest Guy"
"The Man Who Sold The World"
"Fantastic Voyage"
"Hallo Spaceboy"
"Sunday"
"Under Pressure"
"Life On Mars?
"Battle For Britain"
"Ashes To Ashes"
"The Motel"
"Loving The Alien"
"Never Get Old"
"Changes"
"I'm Afraid Of Americans"
"Heroes"
"Bring Me The Disco King"
"Slip Away"
"Heathen"
"Five Years"
"Hang On To Yourself"
"Ziggy Stardust"
Here's the Amazon link.

i really wanted to pick it up, as i saw both of the bowie stops in seattle on this tour. however, from what i've read, the editing is atrocious. like in the spirit of someone with attention defecit disorder. i can't STAND concert videos that don't stop the camera cuts. i'm very very picky. why can't more dvds be like the NIN or Depeche Mode concerts?

I have it and though I've only played a few songs so far, I didn't notice any problems with the editing, and I'm someone who hates the MTV superfast cut editing style, so I probably would have noticed.
A great show and the DVD is super cheap. Got mine at Best Buy for $11.99, I'm sure you can find it elsewhere for less.
Bowie Rules!!!

I half watched it as someone else watched it and I didn't notice anything out of whack. But then again I'm not one who needs the camera on Bowie the whole time to feed their obsession.
In other words, just buy the damn thing if you're a fan of Bowie's.

I have to agree w/Giantrobo on this. I picked it up on release day. Tower still has an insanely good price on this at $9.99. It's not full of a lot of camera tricks and weird angles and hyper-kinetic cuts. In other words, you get a normal concert performance of the band. The setlist alone makes it worth the purchase.

I got it for $12 at Best Buy, so it's very reasonably priced, but I have to say the editing is attrocious. Either the editor has ADHD or s/he expects Bowie's audience to have ADHD because it jumps around wildly; even worse than MTV at its worst. It was almost dizzying to watch.
Apart from that, most of the songs were played wonderfully, although I get a little bored by the newer lounge singing David Bowie provided with his last album, and Loving the Alien was played way too dully for my taste.
I enjoyed the All Ziggy Encore
Actually, the editing wasn't quite as annoying as the camera work from the Ziggy Stardust movie where the camera seemed to zoom in on Bowie's left thigh quite a lot of the time.
