Woohoo! $150 for 1050 hands, i'm there!

But I'm going to wait until Weds Jun 8th to deposit. This way I won't run into too many bonus whores.

I've got 2 accounts to clear so I'll do one over the weekend (where I usually clean up) and save the other for Tues. or Weds.

Looks like Party altered their policy a little.

If you cash out any amount from your PartyPoker.com account during the Bonus Period, but prior to making a qualifying deposit, you are ineligible for the deposit bonus.

Looks like Party altered their policy a little.

Looks like they got that from Absolute. It was kind of stupid to allow you to take out $600 and then put it right back in. They gained nothing that way.

Poker Stars has always had it too.

It seems like an obvious policy to me. I can't believe they went this long without it.

$100 bonus at Casino.Net Poker

http://poker.casino.net/en/promotions/signup.htm

$30 after your first 100 hands, $70 after you do 500 raked.

I'm up $115 today almost clearing 100 hands. Seems like they might calculate it differently, though, because I've been playing most of the day and I am barely at 100 hands.

They have an interesting idea of what a raked hand is. From their site:

What is a "raked hand"?

A raked hand is a hand where you have contributed money into the pot. Small and large blinds do not count as contributions.

So it's gonna take a while to get to 500 hands.

Yeah. When I asked how many raked hands I had, they said 58. I had been playing for a few hours.

Hey - question about the Bodog 20% reloads. Does it apply automatically or do I have to enter something? Never played there (have done sportsbook) but going to give it a go.

Hey - question about the Bodog 20% reloads. Does it apply automatically or do I have to enter something? Never played there (have done sportsbook) but going to give it a go.

If you deposit $500, your balance will automatically show $600.

If you try cashing out before you reach $B x 3 poker points, they will deduct the bonus amount from your cashout. This is why whenever you start a bodog bonus, you make sure of your point balance before hand. Write it down, and then shoot for the number you need to cash out.

Since you're a newbie to the site, you automatically get credited with 50 points, I believe. If you deposit $500 to get $100 bonus, you'll need to cashout after 350 points [50 freebie points + ($100 bonus x 3)] = 350 points.

For reloads I'm still doing Littlewoods and Inter. Have not had a losing reload yet, so I may add Will Hill to that list.

Did some research about casino.net and noticed they are part of the international poker network (ipnpoker.com) that all share the same bossmedia software. In turn, a lot of the rooms have decent bonuses on the same fishy network:

Casino.net - $100 for 500 raked hands that you VP$IP (voluntarily put money in the pot, not including blinds on this one apparently)

canbet.com - $100 for 1000 raked hands (no other requirements mentioned)

galapoker.com - $50 per month for 300 hands (http://www.galapoker.com/bonus.html)

juega poker - $100 for $1000 raked hands (http://www.hpa.juegapoker.com.es/promotions.html -- need to know spanish)

london poker club - $50 for 1000 raked hands (http://www.londonpokerclub.com/news/news/index.html)

sporting bet - $100 for 500 raked hands (do this through ecasinodeals.com)

total poker - $100 for 500 raked hands (http://www.totalpoker.com/news/index.asp)

Bowmans poker - $100 for 1000 raked hands (http://www.bowmanspoker.com/html/promotions.asp)

I don't know about the others on this network but for SportingBet poker you can clear the 500 raked hands by playing the .25/.50 tables. I did the Ecasinodeals thing there and since you need 250 contributed hands for that I played the .25/50 5 max tables. Went really fast.

I did instantbankroll on partypoker...was out the $75 in two nights. When I played PL, every hand had a fisher who always caught their card on the river...and in NL, I got burned everytime. But I'm successful on Pokerstars. Any other bonuses out there that I could try...I want to avoid party like the plague though.

Hey fellas, I'm thinking of starting a little online bonus whoring (via pai gow/bj). After reading about 1/2 the thread (here and there) I'm still a little stumped as to where I should start. It looks like I should start with Casino on Net, but I'm going to be depositing from Neteller so it looks like that isn't the best place for me. So I'm guessing the place(s) I should start are Planet Luck, Star Luck, or Casino Del Rio? If there is something better I am missing please let me know. Also send me an email if you want a referal or if there is still the referal chain I saw posted about earlier.

Starluck, planetluck, and casino on net are definately the top 3 to do first.

mgbfan
06-27-05, 01:10 AM
Yes, those three for sure. Be sure you get a referral from someone for Starluck and Planetluck, as you get $25 extra on top of the standard bonus. I'd be happy to send you for one of them and let someone else send for the other(s). Send me your snail and whichever one you decide first (planet and star are pretty much identical, so pick whichever sounds prettier) - m.doeden at excite.com

Also, be sure to visit www.wizardofodds.com before you play BJ for the best strategy card.

Even at 50x bonus, that's still a +EV deal. Not as good as it used to be, but the numbers are still in your favor.

moorehed
06-27-05, 12:55 PM
until you figure in how long it takes to run a 50x bonus. there's tons of ones out there I would do before doing a 50x.. but to each his own.

mgbfan
06-27-05, 10:10 PM
It is 50x bonus, though, as opposed to the standard D+B. Plus there's the comfort factor of knowing CoN is legit, whereas a lot of the fly-by-night joints will have you just hoping to get paid.

But you're right - it no longer compares to Starluck/Planetluck. They're by far the best ones out there.

Just finished planetluck. Finished up +$35 (in addition to the bonus) after 1600 hands of basic strategy BJ.

I just finished my Star Luck. Finished at $369 (Deposit+Bonus+169). Started with a 1-1-2-3 staregy, but saw that I wasn't losing more than 2 or 3 in a row so I went to double up to 8, then 16 when I went over 300, then 32 if I found myself over 350. After I cleared the 1600, I took 10 and said I'd let it ride on Red until it was 80 or 0, got to 40 then lost. Then I let the $9 run on slots until it was gone. Overall. $250 free for wasting about 3 hours.

I tried the golden gooses last week. Didn't get any big hits. Fun game though.

El Scorcho
07-18-05, 01:44 PM
yeah I did the golden gooses too for a little bit. Until I realized the damn things were a huge +EV for the house. Spun about 500x at a 50c per spin premium, so $250 in golden goose wagers total.

I hit about 7-8 gooses. 5-6 of them were the stupid one where he waddles across the screen and gave me anywhere from $4 to $12. Yay. The other couple ones I got anywhere from $5 to $20.

THe only way the golden goose is profitable is if you get the cash vs. the egg one, choose the egg, get a bunch of free spins with a multiplier, and then hit something big on the free spins. Otherwise, the feature's a money sink for the player.

The feature plays identically to those "Mr. Cashman" video slots they have in B&M casinos. Ironically, as much as I hate these feature machines, I had my biggest B&M slot hit ever on one last year.

actyper

Definately do not play roulette if you're still playing the bonus, you will get banned.

Reef club, its 200x, thats $40,000 waging requirement for the full bonus! Reef club is the slowest software out there as well, so thats instant carpal tunnel.

The best ones right now don't allow U.S. players so I'll skip those.

If you have a good sized bankroll, do casino del rio. You'll need 100pounds for the full bonus. 200% up to 200. 4200 wr I think.

InterCasino, William Hill, and Littlewoods are the cryptos that I do. They are risk free, meaning, you can withdraw before you finish the wr.

Casino365 100% up to $200 $4000 wr
Super Vegas (Haven't done it myself yet, but will get around to it) 100% up to $100 $2000 wr

princessducky

That means to cashout any of the bonus you have to wager $4000.

I only played at Paradise for 2 days, and during that time I'd say probably 70% of the hands were capped preflop with half of those being capped again on every street. I tried moving around to different tables and different limits and different times of day, but it was always the same. Was that just some freaky coincidence or are all the Paradise players hyper-aggressive?

I usually only get 1 or 2 of those types of players per table, but yes I have been on a table where theres a majority of over aggressive players. I love it cause when you have a good hand, pots are huge as they'll be right into you.

I played a promotion at Paradise about 4 months ago and every .50/1 table I played was a rock garden. I think they had a big reload going on then so maybe it was all bonuswhores.

I have to say that I hate playing on uber-aggressive tables because it really increases the luck factor and decreases the skill factor. I pretty much NEVER play on them. I'll go find some loose-passives somewhere.

Why do I do it? Every month for the Party bonus, I get it in my head that I want to play Stud. So I play stud. I'm not a bad stud player (or so I think), but I seem to have a very slow decline. I get down a bit, and go to the holdem tables, where I make it all back and more.

Then what do I do? Do I finish off the bonus with holdem? Nope. I get bored with it. So I go play stud again.

Somebody smack me. Through 300 hands and I'm about dead even from where I started.

I watched several hands at 1/2 LHE the other day on the new Skins network (Eurobet, Empire, Multipoker, Intertops) and saw no more than 2-3 people to the flop (and usually it was a battle of the blinds) on all 20 hands that I saw. Lots of hands were still getting raked, but the general profitability of the site will go down big time.

I've taken more towards finding large but slow clearing bonuses on fishier sites and chasing those down. You sacrifice $$ in hourly bonus clearing wages but gain much more in poker profits.

From Poker Rewards (Prima):

Hi John,

How ya doing on this fine Friday?

This weekend I'm throwing up a "Halloween Trick or Treat" reload
bonus for the upcoming week , it is as follows:

" Get 100% bonus up to $150 on your first purchase between Friday
and the end of Halloween Monday 31st, play out the required raked hands before this or else the Treat will turn into a Trick! "

This will run from the Friday 21st October, 12.00am GMT (8.00pm EST)
through to Monday 31st Oct. 11.59pm GMT (7.59pm EST) . Rake
requirement is 10x the bonus amount.

Remember, you must activate these in your Poker Rewards VIP account
BEFORE you start playing them. You do this by going to "Promotions"
and then click on the one you want to activate. There may a slight
lag when it comes to updating the raked hands in the VIP software, if
the Poker client home page says you've played more than the VIP
account, just give it an hour or so to update.
--------------------------

This is a good bonus for us micro guys since you can clear at .25/.50 if you want. I've been playing the .50/1 6 max tables to clear the BET365 $100 bonus and they're pretty soft most times.

I can't even get the promotions page up at PR right now. :(

John Richmond
10-24-05, 02:34 AM
I can post about the Poker Rewards situation now because it's no longer a situation. They have the 100% matching bonus up to $150 that was supposed to be a 10X playthrough. The thing is, when you activated the promotion it only showed that you needed 500 raked hands to get the $150 instead of the 1500 it should take.

Apparently, those that were quick enough to get the 500 hands actually got the money. I reached my 500 hands this afternoon but it takes hours for the promotions page to catch up. In the meantime they changed my page to show the correct 1500 hands instead of the 500 it was showing.

So what it boils down to is the extra special deal is no longer there although the 10X isn't that bad--unless you don't enjoy the rollercoaster ride that is Prima .50/1 six max.

mgbfan
10-24-05, 02:54 AM
Haha - I play the six-max tables in part because of their predictability. Though lately I've been playing more 1/2 than .50/1, and the quality of opposition does go up a little there.

I deposited for the PR thing. Don't know if I'll actually play it through though. Still finishing up the October Bet365 bonus. Prima is great, but the number of maniac Swedes has dropped off a bit. Still plenty juicy though.

Here's ahood bonus, but it is for a sportsbook.

Sign up at Matchbook.com and they give you a free $50. It isn't automatic, but when I checked the day after, it was there. Feel free to play the $50 however you like. The restrictions on it are you must deposit and play $100 before you can withdraw it.

Strategy:
Play with the $50. If you are good, get it up over $100. You then deposit your $100 and play it. Whether you win or lose with the $100 bet you can withdraw the winnings you made with the bonus. So this is absolutely no risk. It is free money or a push.

Just got an email for a free $10 bonus at pacific poker. Got it up to $23 playing a $10 PL game. Going to head over to a $25 NL game in a bit.

Anyone got tips for me? I'm a big goober when it comes to poker. Any cool calculator gizmos telling me what I should do when. Or what my chances of hitting something at the flop, turn, or river?

Word of wisdom - don't. If you need that sort of calculator, you're a lot better off just learning how to calculate odds and outs. You'll understand the game a lot better if you can do it on your own.

Odds calculators like that are for people who don't know how to play and just want to minimize their losses. It's not a tool for winning players. In the long run, you're a lot better off if you don't use it. Learn the math and you'll be a better, more profitable player.

I don't intend to play a lot nor do I need to know these things for RL situations. I'm just playing with my free $10 until I break some ammount that I want to keep, or crap out.

PartyPoker is awesome through PSO for first time signups. You end up with $190 worth of bonuses (if you deposit $500) and you only have to play 250 raked hands. PLUS, you can play them on the beginners tables (where all the newby fish have been cordoned off from the regular players).

Here's a gaunrenteed-profit backgammon bonus:

Gammon Empire (gammonempire.com) gives you a $20 bonus on a $20 deposit, and all you have to do is play 30 games (lowest stake is 50 cents). So even if you lose all 30 games at the lowest stake (and that would take quite an effort - skill is important, but luck plays a big part as well), you're profiting $5. And if you stack the Bonus20 code on top of the signup, you can get another $20 for 30 games. And even the worst players are going to win 30% of the time just on good rolls. Just play in games with .50 stakes and .50 limits and you can't lose. Plus they throw all kinds of extras at you, like free SnG entries. It's an untapped market for the bonus whore.

And if you let me refer you, I'll even sit with you and let you win a couple of games (and give you some tips, if you like). email me at m.doeden at excite.com

Warning: Backgammon is more addictive than poker. ;)

Haha - the thing about backgammon is that a good player can look lucky a lot. It's because good players set themselves up so a variety of rolls help them.

Though I do know the pain of going to a race with a nice lead only to see your opponent roll 66, 65, 44, 64, etc. It's worse than poker for bad beats sometimes.

actyper
01-02-06, 01:29 AM

mgbfan
01-02-06, 01:32 PM
Heh - I had a fish on the line last night (no, ac, it wasn't you!), for some bigger stakes. The dude just made terrible plays, really poor decisions with the checkers and worse decisions with the cube, but the dice just bailed him out time and again. If anything was open of mine, he'd hit it. And he'd sit with two blots on his home row and me on the bar, and time and again I couldn't hit.

It's a fun game, but it can be frustrating. It's worse than poker for bad beats. But on the other hand, you go in knowing that luck is a big part, so you gotta stay on an even keel.

Oh man that was frustrating, I lost my 1st 6 games. I think game #2 put me on tilt, had a huge lead and I kept on getting 1-2, 1-3 etc, while my opponent was pulling off high doubles.

If I need high rolls, I get low rolls. If I need low rolls, I get high rolls, while my opponent gets the exact rolls he/she needs. Opponent can only move with a six. Six the first roll. How about a 1. Here it is.

I've only won 1 game out of 12'ish. 3 have been by 1 pip. Including the last 2 in a row. Although I've made a couple of silly mistakes, we can race, with me with a okay lead, and my opponent will win. The last game I had a very nice lead and good positions, but he gets his double second to last roll to win by 1 pip.

Oh yeah, I'm playing people with the lowest ratings, too.

For all you micro-limit bonus sluts --

no1poker.com is a b2b network skin (like martinspoker) that has a 50% up to €200 bonus upon signup. Use the code mentioned in the terms & conditions on the site.

3000 raked hands, non-contributed. It's primarily a no-limit site but there are .10/.20 limit tables almost always going if you want to grind it out there. A few .50/1 up to 2/4 limit tables going occassionally but not much.

Hands only have to be raked €0.05, meaning the pot has to hit €1 for €0.50/1 NL games and below, €1 for .50/1 limit games and below, and €5 for 1/2 limit games and higher.

Other B2B network sites require VIP points for their bonuses. This one requires raked hands and has a raked hand counter on their site.
