I can't believe you've gotten uglier than the last time I saw your pic. :D
There's a new tourney series starting this week and, if my lawyer doesn't object, I'll be playing there instead of with you wonderful folks.
If I do show up, I'll be be quite depresssed and an easy mark, even for Def. :)

so you're depressed and an easy mark?Pretty much. 2nd at my table in a shootout on Thursday, 10 out of the money Friday. Last nite, before the 1st break, I had JQ with 2 Js on the turn, lost to a boat on the river leaving me with $150. Blinds after the break were 25/50...
But I’m 4 for 7 on satellites, and about even money. So I’m not too depressed.
Hungry, though, so bring your fish food.
Have we decided how to handle the password?

the password is in the first post, under the spoiler tag.
you are 4 for 7 on satelites? what are you qualifying for? I have been trying to win seats to things w/no luck.

When the Bike has a tournament series, they run $40 satellites for 3 $100 tourney chips and $30 cash. Winner take all, although 8 times out of 10 there is a chop. Even if I chop the low end and wind up with one chip, I’m a happy camper
I thank my online SnG experience and the fact that these guys are usually pretty loose.

You know, you can always make the password something only people that log onto dvdtalk know.
Like "The password is a member's name who is always a poll option".

ok, I just registered (maybe against my better judgement as it's a little late for me and I have to wake up early).
This is also my first time at PokerStars. The good and bad on first impressions:
It's going to take a while to get used to the software (so far not impressed).
But on the plus side, I sit down at my first table (only a $1/$2) and hit quad 5's on my first hand, but only paid $15 but atleast I got something out of it. (I guess it pays the entry fee to this tourny).

I did the same at Ultimate Bet (won about $100) in 1/2 hour at the 3/6.
I'm getting really used to the 6 player ring games lately.

That's almost all I've been playing (even on sit n go's) except for the occassional big tournament.
i like it because it's a faster game.

Well my introduction to PokerStars today, I doubled my buy-in.
Not sure how I like it compared to Ultimate Bet, but I did start to get used to it.
If/When you cash out, can you cash out in a different way than depositing (eg. I used my bank card to deposit, will then send a cashout to Firepay?)

he finished early, went to a 2 table sit-n-go and made more $$$ there.
He missed you, so he pushed all his chips in early....if only he knew you were stopping by to say hello, he would have waited.

A better question would be how long did it go heads up? They're both excellent players and, unless Josh was drinking, I could see it going on for a while.

lol. yeah i wasn't drinking so it went a while. i think it finished up at 11:54.
great game briank (and everybody else except deftones, thanks a lot for not showing up mister i guess steak dinner is more important than avenging poket kings.).

Glad you guys had fun. Almost 100% I'll be at the next one (unless I get another free steak dinner) :p

So, I've got the nuts, go allin, and plop a porterhouse on the table. You're gonna call, right?
And with moorehed, all I have to do is order a shooter of Stoli.

It did go a while! I find it funny that your two table sit-n-go ended before our little tournament.
Great game moorehed.
I think he had around a 2-1 chip lead going into heads up.
I made him wait a long while before I gave him the rest of my chips. Josh plays a very good heads up game, very similiar to mine. One thing that went against me is I think there were about 10+ hands in a row I didn't get anything HIGHER than an 8.
7-3, 8-4, etc, etc.
So I was finally forced all-in with about 1400 in chips, with a K-6, I think moorehed had Q-2, and caught a 2 on the flop to end the game.
There were some interesting hands.
One with moorehed and Jeremy to knock him out.
I think it was something like moorehed K-10, jeremy K-8.
K and an 8 on the flop, and then a 10 on the turn! (not 100% sure of those stats but it was something similiar).
Looking forward to the next game.

actually it was me calling him.
I made a very small raise, he re-raised small, I re-raised a little bit more, and he went all in, then I called (all pre-flop).

I got killed on a hand where I had KK and I raised pretty high pre flop, Moorehed called me. Flop was like A-Q-4 and he checked, I bet and then he raised significantly and hit his ace.
