Homicide: Life on the Street - Season 6 to be released Jan. 25
I did a search and couldn't come up with a thread about the recently announced Season 6. (Could it be possible that I actually managed to scoop some people and get this news on this forum first? Surely not?) If someone has already posted this information, then let the floggings begin! (I know if I reposted some information the floggings will come anyway, so I might as well go ahead and invite it: It makes everyone feel better)
Anyhow, this information comes from TVShowsonDVD:
In September we first brought you news that Homicide: Life on the Street - The Complete Season 6 was coming to DVD on January 25th. This 6-DVD set lists for $99.95 (but can be pre-ordered at Amazon.com for $69.96). It runs over 18 hours.
Edgy and hyper-realistic, Homicide: Life on the Street elevated the art of the police drama to new heights. Shot on location with in-your-face camera action, deft writing, and a stellar ensemble cast, this first-time-on-DVD collection features all 23 episodes from the 6th Season of the Emmy and Peabody award-winning series, highlighted by the celebrated "The Subway" episode.
From the creator of Gideon's Crossing and Quiz Show (Paul Attanasio) and Executive Produced by Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Diner) and Tom Fontana (OZ, St. Elsewhere), the sixth complete season of Homicide: Life on the Street is one of television's toughest and sharpest shows.
Watch the episodes in the order intended by the series' producers!
DVD Features Include:
Feature-Length Documentary: "Anatomy of a Homicide"
Commentary with Writer James Yoshimura and Director Gary Fleder on "The Subway"
Cast and Crew Biographies
As I know many of you will be as well, I am very happy to see the great "Anatomy of a Homicide" included in the set. Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on this season.

Already on pre-order from DDD - $59.97.
Glad the documentary is included.
Subway - excellent episode.
Frank's departure - classic. "Help, my partner's been shot."
