Ferngully re-release February 2005?

Now, I know this isn't one of the greatest movies, but Ferngully has always reminded me of my childhood. For some reason, I've never picked it up on DVD though. Today on dvdpricesearch.com, I noticed a bunch of the DVDs in my comparison cart had gone down in price. One of them was Ferngully, down to $6.69US.

The strange thing was though, is when I go to the page to purchase the DVD, the button doesn't say Add to Cart, it says Re-release Feb. 22, 2005. Also, the MSRP is $29.98CDN when the version I thought I was going to purchase has an MSRP of $14.95.

Ok, so I'm wondering if this is a real re-release or just a screw-up by DVDSoon. I've read a lot of the horror stories about DVDSoon, including the fact that they don't let you cancel preorders.

It's not the money mind you, $6.69 for a DVD is a great price, but I just don't want to have to wait until February to get it and be charged for it in November. Especially since I can get it for $8 from DDD.

So finally, I was just wondering if anyone has heard about this title being re-released. Is it going to be a special edition? Is it going to have any extra features? Sorry if it seems like I'm rambling, it's a little late.

Thanks for any info you guys can provide. I haven't posted much, but I really enjoy reading a lot of the posts. I've learned a lot about DVDs. (Never knew what a snapper was called before I came here, or even what a flipper was.)

Thanks!

Spend the extra $1.30. Even if it is in-stock at DVDSoon (not much seems to be) it will be several weeks before you get it. Just my $.02.

I'm not really worried about when I get it, UNLESS it's not released until next february, then I'd probably pass on DVDSoon. But, if it is a special edition I might wait.

The problem is not knowing exactly what the DVDSoon version is.
