The Clearing with Redford and Dafoe?

Any thoughts?

It kills me that this movie could have been a lot better.

Dafoe and Redford are great but the movie was so generic.

You expect more with these two awesome actors headlining a film.

I thought Dafoe would have a more vaild justified reason for taking Redford hostage.

Then again I had high hopes for the Hunted with Del Toro and Tommy Lee Jones

I just rented it, watched it, and it could have been alot better. Maybe I need to sit through it again sometime. It just seemed generic unless i missed some points somewhere.

I thought it was very well done. Tense and taught and you really didn't know what was going to happen to Redford. I think they both played there parts extremely well.

Well, I didn't know what to expect from this movie, but really enjoyed it. Much better (smarter, better acting) than hunted. However I also think that it could have been better.

I will probably pick it up one of these days.

It moved a little too slowly for me and by the middle of the film you kind of get the idea where the movie is heading, although I did like the story structure, everyone is just a bit TOO calm in the movie, the only emotion being the son's breakdown while running.

It was good yes but the ending!!! After all that work the Defoe character did, he didn't think that would have happened?

He did, I think Redford got to him and made him feel guilty.
