Northern State - All City
Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion - Classic Meets Cuba
Poe - Haunted
Grandaddy - Sumday

Christmas CDs:
Barenaked Ladies - Barenaked for the Holidays
Chris Isaak - Christmas
Booker T & the MGs - In the Christmas Spirit
Phil Spector - A Christmas Gift for You
Harry Connick, Jr. - Harry for the Holidays
Leon Redbone - Christmas Island
Holly Cole - Baby, It's Cold Outside
and way more than any normal person should have

Question of the Day: So, when do you break out the Christmas music, if you do at all?

Ideally, I wouldn't start listening to it until at least Thanksgiving, but for the past five years I've made a Christmas music compilation CD that I send out with my cards to select friends and family. I like to get that out early (first week of December) so people can listen to it for a while, so I've been listening to this stuff since early November. It takes a while to get it all together. Luckily for me, I actually love the stuff.

The Late, Great Daniel Johnston: Discovered, Covered
Eminem - Encore
Ted Leo/Pharmacists - Shake the Sheets
Jeff Buckley - Mystery White Boy
Okkervil River - Down the River of Golden Dreams
Elf Power - Walking with the Beggar Boys
Jay-Z - MTV Unplugged
Medeski Martin & Wood - End of the World Party (just in case)
Clem Snide - Ghost of Fashion
The Slip - Aliveelectric

AOTD: Typically don't listen to any Christmas music till after Thanksgiving. I usually buy at least one holiday album per year, so I've got a pretty good collection, and XM has a few channels dedicated to holiday music.

Just picked up Desert Sessions Volume 1&2

Buying a new car this week so I didn't have time to pick up any CDs aside from the one mentioned above.

AOTD: Never, if I can help it.

De La Soul - The Grind Date (still!)
Disciples Of The 36 Chambers - Wu-Tang Clan (RIP ODB)
Pet Shop Boys - Actually
Eminem - Encore (probably my last few listens for a while - it's simply not that good)
DJ LT Dan - Hova's Son
Xzibit - Weapons of Mass Destruction (Promo)
Depeche Mode - 101

Old School Joint:
Silk Times Leather - it ain't where ya from... it's where ya at (2 dope female MC's. early Jermaine Dupri production)

AOTD: not a big Christmas music guy (except for "Do They Know it's Christmas" which really isn't a Christmas song in the true sense), so I guess my answer is "never"

my favourite tracks off the album are:

Rock and Roll (Could Never Hip Hop Like This) Part 2
"I've Been Thinking" with Cat Power
"Greatest Mistake" with Jaime Cullum and John Oates
    "Breakdown" with Jack Johnson

I still like So...How's Your Girl? a bit more than White People but its definately worth checking out.
