Looks crappy. Don't like the whole martial arts theme.

It looked ok to me... it looks like there's some more exotic magic/powers going on which is pretty neat. Although the animals in the bodies thing looked a little dumb. I'll probably catch it, as i have all the other Marvel properties (which i've all enjoyed).

I dunno...Jennifer Garner is reason enough for me to see practically ANY movie...but this one looks pretty bland. It kept on reminding me of X-Men, Punisher, Daredevil, and for some odd reason, Hero (I have NO idea what the whole mystic ninja stuff is about). I'll see it eventually, but right now I think I'll wait for it on DVD.

Anyway, I'm still looking foward to this. Garner is amazingly hot + Terrence Stamp, thats all I need to see a movie.

All of that martial arts stuff people have been wondering and complaining about is this:
In Elektra solo comics and sometimes referred in DD comics, she was trained by a group of monks and fights an assassins group known as The Hand. Elektra is more known as a martial arts comic, like Iron Fist, than your typical tights-wearing-saving-the-city-in-distress hero.

I have a friend that did some music work on this, and he said it isn't that bad. Some decent fights, Garner is hot, and the music will be good.

I gotta agree. Meh. I hate to say that about a movie I haven't seen. I even tried to get over my dislike of Garner and my opinion that she could -AT LEAST- have black hair like the comic book since they decided to go with a "non-ethnic" type. So all that and the "magical mystery tour" "hocus pocus" "I can see the future" feel of the trailer gave me "the boring".

"Once in a great while, a movie comes along that isn't that bad. A movie that shows you that it might be better than you had originally thought. A film that is better than mediocre, but isn't terrific......at the same time! Elektra! Starring Jennifer Garner, who is hot to some, not so hot to others. And Terrance Stamp, who was great in Superman 2, but was also in that drag queen movie. Coming soon to a theater near you....you might go meh, you might go moo!"

The trailer did nothing for me. I'll likely only see this movie if A) a free ticket is included with the Daredevil Director's Cut DVD or B) the Serenity trailer is attached to it as rumored.

I kinda of liked it. The only gripe I have is that "I have the ability to see the future" thing. Rob Bowman delivered two good movies, X-Files and Reign of Fire, so I'll give him the benefit of doubt, until I see it.
But seeing Typoid Mary vs. Elektra has me reaching into my wallet for $6...

Just as long as they don't have bags of sand hanging from the ceiling that she mercilessly slaughters, I'm looking forward to this.

Yeah. The trailer sin't doing much for me and I'm a fan of Daredevil. The movie looks nothing like I thought it would and the whole mystical magic aspect has me turned off. I was hoping to see Elektra kicking ass in the city. It looks like she'll be protecting a girl in the woods somewhere.

Blasphemy! Your bosses did a great job on those flix, surely you cannot deny that!
Having viewed the preview, all I can say is: WTF?!?!
Look, I know sometimes a comic book character's story must be tweaked for the big screen, but PLEASE!!! This movie looks like someone watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and decided to mix it with a few other Asian cinema movies and throw in the character of Elektra for kicks.
