A Question reguarding The Bank Dick CC DVD

Hi Everybody,

I know the Bank Dick CC dvd is out of print at the moment, but will it be re-release by CC studio some time soon? Thanks for your input.

Probably not. It was just released on Tuesday in the W.C. Fields box set.

I agree. I have the CC version, and I would assume that just like Straw Dogs you won't ever see the Criterion again. It's a pain, but any Criterions that were MGMs have never appeared again (like Robocop and Sid & Nancy).

In this case, it's not as if there are any extras to miss from the Criterion version, and the print materials aren't that good that Criterion worked with. The whole set Universal is now offering what 2 Criterion discs would cost.

So, the question is, did Universal at least equal the quality of the Criterion? I haven't picked up the Universal set yet, but will probably unload the Criterion if it's ok.

I unloaded my CC a while ago. I imagine the new release will more than likely look better than the CC - I hope!

I watched <i>Bank Dick</i> in the new set, and while I don't have the CC for comparision, there is nothing to fault with this new release - looks great!

I'm on the fence about getting the box set. Has anyone seen any reviews yet or have personal experiences to share?
